Hello. Sorry if this doesn’t classify as a bug, rather more a feature request, I don’t really know, but there is a problem I’d like fixed, or I’d like to know more about it. There is a consistent, displeasing, non-gameplay friendly collision between characters and the slopes they walk on, and I’m sure you have all experienced it and perhaps have seen it so much you just overlook it.
Here is a link to a place you can experience it very much, simply play the first level, or any level and you will encounter bounces you did not intend for while traveling up slopes.
This bounce makes your character feel like it’s getting periodically snagged by the slope you’re walking on, or pushed back by rigged bumps on the slope. The higher speed your character walks at, the more noticeable and severe this bounce is. If you are at a very slow walkspeed, like 10, it is not noticeable, but at speed 100, like for my Speed Run game, it is very prominent, and interferes greatly with gameplay. One big problem is that if you’re bouncing on a slope when you don’t intend to, you may not be able to jump when you’re wanting to, as you’re already in the air, and so you miscalculate, fail and die. Also, it seems the more steep the slope, the more bounces you encounter while traversing the slope. I assume that this is probably some logical result from the physics we use, and it’s probably hard to change, but if it’s fixable, I’d really appreciate it being fixed, as there’s hundreds of complaints I’ve been getting over the year about this leading to tons of death and rage in my game. Or alternatively, if it is not easily fixable, if someone can please help me overcome it with custom physics I would gladly strike a deal, but I really think it would be better if Roblox eventually fine tuned this problem out.
