Hi, I’m working on a racing game with my main job being to make the handling as realistic as possible with the likes of ATTESA ETS HICAS from nissan GTR and others that affect how the car moves.
ATESSA ETS - is designed to change the torque that is transmitted to the front axle, thanks to which the car becomes more stable during skids.
HICAS - is a system that affects how much the rear axle should turn its wheels and in which direction.
Video showing how it works in game:
The console shows the power transmitted to the front and rear wheels in percent (set from initial 30:70 to 50:50)
In addition, the console also shows the position of the rear wheels.
attached - means that the wheels move in the same direction as the front ones.
inverted - means they move in the opposite direction from the front axle
The wheels move a maximum of 1 degrees.
If you want to try it yourself, here’s the link:
If you have any question about how it’s done feel free to ask.
