Chat filter is completely disabled in my game and I don't know why

I enabled the new text chat in beta features, then disabled it and went back to legacy, but for some reason the chat filter is now disabled. All I did was enable and disable the beta feature for the new chat. Someone please tell me how to enable the chat filter.

Are you testing the game in studio or?
Since in studio there is no chat filter

have you tried completely deleting all contents of the chat folder and seeing if it fixes?
