It’s a good start. However, I have some feedback for you to further improve your build.

  • Don’t make the windows repetitive on every building, they’re in the same position
  • Have some of the windows lit up, have the others darkened or just leave it blue
  • Add more detail to the buildings
  • Don’t make the obby area too square, it’d be nicer if it was an open area so that there’s a sense of exploration in the lobby area

Good luck with your further progress!

I like the style you’re going for, but I think it might be cool if the buildings had some variety in their colour.

If you want to keep the grass as the main part of the ground I would suggest adding more to the ground. You can add different paths, stepping stones, flowers, blades of grass, etc to break up the large openness that you would have otherwise.

So just looking at it, I’m amazed. Though, here is some things you could improve(if you want)

  • Make the buildings diffrent colours

  • Change the windows to diffrent places and not just the same, also maybe make some lit up or something.

But, if I would join this game, I would be really happy! Continue like this and you’ll be a big developer. Keep it up!

Thanks! And I am going to make the buildings different colors!

I am going to add a fountain, benches, and grass.

Try to add some colour to the buildings as it looks sorta bland with it being the same colour.

If you want some recommendation for colours, I suggest following this colour wheel* and using complementary (colours on opposite side of wheel), analogous colours (right next to each other on the wheel) or using warm colours (red, orange, yellow) or cold colours (green, blue, purple) together.
Hope this helps! :+1:

it looks great but why the texture lobby looks empty… can you make more texture for the building and also you need to make lobby with good lightning, ok:+1: :ok_hand:

but don forgets why you wanna build the lobby from first place  :grey_question:

I hope you change something

It is an amazing start! I believe that everything which should have been said was already said so I will try to summarise things which haven’t been pointed out yet.

  • It would be a wonderful idea if you increased the area of the obby and added some hard obstacles which would keep players from passing the obby and getting bored too fast.

  • You can colour all the building because as I see, you are trying to create a friendly environment for players so I recommend you doing this.

  • Creating different heights of the building would be a great idea as well. Try it out if you want.

I am going to add a lot more obbys. I am actually doing that right now!

I am going to have lots of different colors I just needed to know where the buildings were gonna go.

Yes I will be changing the heights so is not as bland.

Feedback

I am just going to be honest; since if I don’t, my feedback will be useless. Do not take this the wrong way.

I am definitely doing to assume you are new builder who has just attempted to engage in building in Roblox Studio. However, you’re just not going to get anywhere with a lobby like that, even if it is an rough form of what you actually want.

  1. The buildings, pretty self-explanatory. I walk out of my house and the houses are rectangles with the windows actually bulging out of the… whatever that material is.

  2. The obby is rushed. It does not appear to that much effort has take place.

  3. If you were going to go buy something would you go to this or that. I currently don’t know if you’re going for realism or cartoon but at least set your standards high enough for what you might find in an actual game.

I highly suggest, instead of quantity, to take time for quality. Your builds have no depth. No detail. It is literally parts with clashing colours forces together irregularly.

Instead of making the doors a decal, at least take the time to actually make a door.

If you were to play spleaf with some other people, would you like to play in such a small area?

Look in all the obbies there are on Roblox. Do you think people will enjoy playing your obby?

No, just no. Unless you can make a good obby in the first place, don’t even attempt to make multiple obbies.

Visually, would people think your game is well-made?

Of course, I acknowledge this is your first lobby. Just, try to look up some tutorials instead of immediately taking on a big project like an entire lobby. Being a Builder, I know that good builds take time. It will probably take me a week just to make a rough building and probably a month to make a truly good building. Then imagine building a lobby with detail.

Good luck!

It is a very good start! But it could have some improvements.

This is a list of all the advice of me and the others which replied just in 1 list!

  • Use more colors, it looks too boring without them.

  • Try to add more details in the houses

  • Dont duplicate the houses, try to make some of different size and colors.

  • Add some easter eggs :eyes:

  • Maybe add some more details in the terrain, like trees, rocks, paths, or like things which have to do with what the lobby is for.

  • Have some windows lit up, not all of them.

  • Don’t make the obby area too square, it’d be nicer if it was an open area so that there’s a sense of exploration in the lobby area.

  • Make the obby more difficult, and make people want to do them by adding a in-game prize or something!

  • Try to use some tutorials, not only how to make a lobby but also other stuff, you can learn alot of them!

  • Read topics here on the Devforum, you will also learn alot of them.

That’s it! I hope i’ve helped you out!

Have a good day!

Hi,
Wow I really like it, but it could look a lot better.
you could add more depth to you buildings and overall builds as right know the houses are just rectangles. maybe add gutters or textured meshes, because all the small details in builds satisfy everyone.
Otherwise I love it.
Keep Building!

You do realize its just a start. I understand all you said. And you just repeated what everyone else said. And if it takes a month to build a singular building idk about that.

If you are creating a lobby I would love to see the buildings have different colors such as red, green, blue, and the windows were 0.3 transparent and reflect 0.5 with the glass material, that would give the touch, but in my opinion it’s a good lobby and i like.

Looks good, but maybe for the buildings you could change them up for each structure, different windows, etc.

Good start but could do with more detail on the building etc.

There’s a lot of things that you could improve on here, first of all all the buildings are the same color and the windows are all repetitive so change up the windows, add textures and color to the buildings or just add color. The obby looks bland, Bob’s shop is REALLY bright. Do some of these and I’ll say this is a great lobby.

I want to say, that I don’t like it at all, what I would like to change:

-The lobby is too blocky, not very detailed.
-Bad use of colors, as buildings. They are grey, meaning that the lobby was made fast, and showing that the developer doesnt care about the lobby. And just want to finish the final product.
-The lobby is too empty, add spheres, trampolines, etc.
