Hey guys, I’ve been working on a Murder type game for the past few months now and I released today. Can you guys please give me your feedback on the game?
Thanks!
It’s nice, but the lobby is kinda bland.
It’s simple, yet so fun.
But the maps, including the lobby, aren’t well made.
Although I wasn’t around then, but It reminds me of old roblox games around the mid 2010’s, especially with the R6 characters and GUI.
I don’t like it, it’s so hard to throw the knife as it’s slow like a grandma tries to throw the knife.
Pretty good in terms of mechanics. The visuals could use a lot of work though with the maps and lobby. I like the random emotes feature, but it shouldn’t be toggleable while typing (it is currently). However, if you’re making a game based off of another game (in this case, murder mystery etc), it’s important to have an exciting twist or something to really set it apart from the old one. Clones almost never work (unless they target different audiences), so I’d suggest finding something to make your game’s identity different than the current murder games, or people looking at your game will question why they don’t just play the established murder game(s).
Yes, @Monkepath, I do have an Infection gamemode, which separates my game from other Murder Mystery games. I’m not very good at making maps, so I will try to improve them. @IonuTX02, I will make the knife faster to throw. I agree, it is slow. @Honkuleys, Thanks for your kind words!
If you have an infection gamemode, make sure people know it! In the ~10 minutes I played, there wasn’t a single infection round and I didn’t know it existed. It may sound a bit extreme, but maybe you should make the game based around an infection mechanic. If people want to play regular murder mystery, they can play those games: yours should be an entirely unique experience unless you plan on competing with those huge games with thousands of development hours put in them: currently the other rounds are common in the big murder mystery games and have basically the same gameplay.
Okay, I will try to do that. Thanks!
