Chemistry lab sandbox game I'm working on

Hi there! If you haven’t seen my post in #development-discussion, I’m making a chemistry lab game where you’ll be able to experiment with all sorts of chemicals! This project will unfortunately take a long time to script everything etc.

I’ve made this post to share screenshots of progress with the developer community, and feedback would be much appretiated.

Without further ado, here are the screenshots from today (11.08.2022)

Love the idea, cannot wait for it to be completed. It seems very educational and already looks clean.

Would you prefer to play the game in first, or third person? I think first person looks better.

First person looks more professional and looks better than third person, you should go with that.

I would suggest adding wiring or pipes on the top half of the wall, just to make it look a little less bland.

I suggest adding both first, and third person as toggleable options.

it looks cool but the room seems very empty

you should definitely add more things you can interact with

it should also be player choice whether they wish to play as first or third person

Why does everybody keep telling me this? I know it looks empty the screenshot was taken one day after I made the place.

Update: I’ve joined the bi-annual Brackeys Game Jam this month so I won’t be working on the chemistry lab game too often.

Hey everyone! Sadly, I wouldn’t be able to finish the game (for the game jam) in time, so I had no other option but leave. This means I can work on Chemistry Lab Simulator (name is subject to change).

Here is a preview of what the game looks like now

Spinning rat makes this game an instant 10/10. Looks really good and professionally made. Also I really like the UI.

add chromyl chloride, peracetic acid, and things to test it with (coins, human parts, etc.)

How’s it going at the moment? I’m excited to see what you might add next.

This is really great! GUI reminds me if Entry Point. Right now I’m studying the microscope in classes. We use a simulation made in unity that’s almost identical to this. This is creative and imaginative - what Roblox is intended to be. 10/10.

From what i seen from introduction. A combination of unlimited chemicals is what i really like. Thats the way of Powering imagination. Keep up on your work!

What the.
Why is this thread suddenly so popular?
I wanted to quit making Roblox games and move onto Godot, but damn I’m impressed (I guess I’ll continue making the game)
