Introduction
Cheshire is a roleplaying game on ROBLOX - an immersive experience designed to bring realism, creativity, and community engagement to life.
From the original owners of Cambridgeshire, AodhanMcGuinness and MaximusCrowther’s mission is to foster a welcoming environment where all players feel valued, respected, and free to enjoy themselves, regardless of their background.
We strive to deliver an authentic and dynamic roleplay experience, ensuring that every interaction contributes to a thriving and enjoyable community. By joining Cheshire, members agree to uphold high standards of roleplay, promoting realism, fairness, and respect for others.
This document outlines the essential guidelines that all members must follow to maintain the integrity, enjoyment, and safety of our community. Adhering to these principles ensures that Cheshire remains an engaging and inclusive space for everyone.
Commitment to Realistic Roleplay
Our server is dedicated to immersive and meaningful roleplay. By joining, you agree to:
- Develop a character with a well-thought-out backstory.
- Ensure that every roleplay scenario has a clear purpose and logical flow.
When creating a roleplay, consider:
- Why was the roleplay initiated?
- What motivates your character to participate?
- What is the intended outcome?
- How does your character’s personality and backstory fit into the scenario?
By following these principles, we maintain a high-quality roleplay experience that is engaging and enjoyable for all.
Below, you’ll find our in-game rules, including enforcement details and the procedures for submitting appeals and complaints. Please note that we have separate rules for our communications server, which you can access through the link provided in our ROBLOX game and group.
📌 Roleplay Rules
Realism & Appropriateness
- Your roleplay must be realistic and appropriate for the game’s setting.
- Our map is a small town surrounded by country fields; scenarios should naturally reflect this environment.
Aligning with Server Population
- Roleplay must be proportionate to the number of players online.
- Example: Do not initiate firearms scenarios if no armed officers are present.
Fail Roleplay (FRP) is Prohibited
- Be realistic in both actions and reactions.
Roleplay Actions & Communication
- During roleplay scenes, actions must be clearly indicated using:
- Asterisks (*) → Pushes
- Hyphens (-) → -I’d open the car boot-
- Proper wording → Takes the item and places it on the counter.
Consider Your Roleplays
- Avoid time-sensitive scenarios if required services (police, ambulance, fire, etc.) are unavailable.
Do not interrupt active roleplays
- Allow others to complete their scenarios without interference.
- Not allowed: Interfering: Forcing yourself into another player’s RP without meaningful objectives, disrupting the existing scene.
- Allowed: Good Samaritan: Assisting in a scenario in a logical and immersive way.
Example of Interfering:
- Subject A is talking with officers during a traffic stop.
- Subject B walks up, kicks Subject A’s vehicle for no reason, and runs away.
- Officers shift focus to Subject B, disrupting the original scene.
Example of Good Samaritan:
- Subject A injures a bus driver.
- Subject B, a civilian, witnesses this and calls the police, providing Subject A’s description.
- Subject B then checks on the injured bus driver.
Consent & Variety in Roleplay
- Roleplays must be mutual and allow for fair participation.
- Avoid repetitive scenarios (e.g., constant knife or gun crime).
- No Random Killing or Spawn Killing → This ruins immersion and is strictly prohibited.
Use Commands Responsibly
- The !help command is for genuine administrative assistance only.
- The in-game 999 system should only be used for appropriate emergencies, unless otherwise but only with roleplay intent.
Realistic Roleplay Mechanics
- Injuries must be roleplayed appropriately:
- If shot by police, you cannot simply run away.
- If hit with a baton, you must roleplay experiencing pain and physical limitations.
Powergaming
- Powergaming is not allowed. Do not manipulate scenarios for an unfair advantage.
- Example: If caught by police, you cannot simply end the roleplay.
- Example: If pinned down by multiple officers, you cannot unrealistically escape.
Police Baiting
- Do not provoke police without a valid RP reason.
- Example: Intentionally ramming police vehicles.
- Example: Randomly pulling out a weapon in front of officers.
Realistic Driving is Required
- Reckless driving causes issues and is prohibited.
- Example: Swerving into the wrong lanes purposely.
- Example: Speeding around blind corners, causing crashes without roleplay intention.
- Example: Excessively crashing into vehicles and driving off for no reason.
No Deliberate road-blocking
- Example: Standing in the road without roleplay intention.
- Example: Jumping on vehicles that do not belong to you. (May cause them to glitch out).
- Example: Parking in a way that obstructs traffic without reason.
Fear Roleplay
Characters Must Experience Fear
- Characters must act as if they fear for their lives.
- Even though characters do not permanently die, they must roleplay as if their life is at risk.
- You cannot always be the hero - consider all repercussions before making a decision.
Fighting Back in Fear RP
- If an opportunity arises where you are not in immediate danger, you may fight back.
Example of Fear RP:
- Subject A is surrounded in an alleyway by four armed gang members.
- Subject A complies with all demands due to fear for their life.
New Life Rule (NLR)
Forgetting Past Events
- If your character dies and respawns, you must forget everything leading up to that moment.
- You cannot return to the scene for revenge.
Avoid Repeating the Same Roleplay
- You cannot immediately repeat the same roleplay scenario after respawning.
- Example: If you die in a major car accident, you should not return minutes later to do the same thing.
Ensure Your Avatar is Realistic
- Your avatar must fit within the game’s environment.
- We use R6, natural skin tones, and normal everyday clothing.
- Outfits must resemble realistic attire that a person would wear in real life.
- Not allowed (non-exhaustive):
- Headless or faceless avatars.
- Giant wings or floating objects.
- Any exaggerated or unrealistic features that break immersion.
âš’ Enforcement & Accountability
Cheshire is, first and foremost, a community-driven experience. Our moderators prioritise de-escalation where possible, ensuring that minor issues are handled fairly without unnecessary harshness. Strict enforcement is not always the most effective approach, and we aim to resolve issues through discussion before resorting to punitive measures.
However, when a conversation alone is not sufficient, the following disciplinary structure is typically followed:
Game-Related Punishments
- Warning(s) – A verbal or written notice to correct behaviour.
- Kick – Temporary removal from the game server to encourage compliance.
- Server Ban – A more serious consequence for repeated or significant violations.
- Long-Term Temporary Ban or Permanent Ban – Issued for serious or repeated misconduct.
- Blacklist – The highest level of restriction, resulting in permanent removal from the entire community.
Case-by-Case Consideration
- Depending on the severity of the offence, certain punishments may bypass the usual steps.
- Extreme violations, such as exploiting or highly disruptive behaviour, may result in an immediate blacklist without prior warnings.
Our team always evaluates each situation fairly and contextually to ensure appropriate actions are taken.
📩Moderation Appeals and Complaints Procedure
Punishment Appeals
Who Can Appeal?
You may submit a punishment appeal if you believe the action taken against your account was a mistake or incorrect.
