But honestly how often does that happen, and that’s not the issue here.
What is the point of this really? And why say this just now when this was a thing months ago? Of course nobody is trusting this ‘specially-trained’ team.

While there is no reason to obfuscate code, some people use it for good intentions to attempt to hide precious code. Will all obfuscated codes be automatically deemed malicious?
-
Everyone else already mentioned that the developer(s) is/are the only one(s) who will be able to see the code. Making this even more redundant.
- If an exploiter comes across a bad word, they’re exploiting which is already against the rules. Was this update made to protect exploiters?

Aaaaand API keys. The fact that they can at least see them is concerning. Whether or not they will actually use them is a different story. I don’t care who is being assigned to see my code. I don’t want anyone, not even moderators, seeing it.
I completely agree. I don’t want some random admin from a “specially-trained” team seeing my code. If a “rogue admin” gets an API key, well, we all know what happens then.
What if a member from that “specially-trained” team gets fired/quits and starts leaking peoples code, You never know. This is why i am heavily against this update and considering quitting Roblox.
My point exactly! If a rogue admin decides to find a bunch of API keys and save them, they can quit or be fired, and then they can sell the keys, or use them.
To add on/to clarify, what prevents this team from saving the scripts once this happens?
I’m kinda confused, I recently went through and emptied my old places out. I found an old place back from 2014 and found a custom filtering script with multiple cursing words in it, I haven’t been moderated. It’s possible this could only be for public games, but either way it is still confusing because our audience can’t see our scripts.
I don’t think they’re gonna moderate old places. It would be unfair to enforce a rule on now-rule-breaking scripts before this rule existed.
You never know. ROBLOX has been unfair in general lately.
Question: By the “discriminatory language” does that means your script can get removed for even including mild swearing? I don’t think anyone would include personal information over a script by the way.
Also, will this affect old/unupdated games out there?
The sad truth is that they most likely would, and I would know having seen it happen to much older assets too.
True, I think we’re all exhausted and anxious because we’re unsure of how this is affecting older places and the future of this platform. I’m mainly concerned if old places that are private (hidden) from the public are still going to be moderated.
I am giving Roblox one last chance to fix themselves or like I said i am quitting.
This cant be good… I don’t know about this doesn’t seem safe.
REALLY NOW? I was banned for 3 days twice 4 months ago and they refused to give me the reason for it! (Clarification on code flagged for safety review - #859 by Serenevoxol)
Me too! One more bad announcement or update, and I switch to Godot.
Was the game public or private?
Honestly, these scripts should be only moderated if they are realised as free models to the public. It would be fair enough to me.
Think about it as soon as it gets exploited somehow in some way then exploiters are going to have scripts and its going to be a mess of copies of game and all of that mess!
Both were private and they were builds with minor scripts. Or, they were just comment “Read me” scripts.
