Every time I select a model, such as a tree or building it’ll instead select whatever part I’m clicking on in the model instead of the model itself. This is happening for every model and it’s very annoying.
E.g: Tree model has ‘trunk’ and ‘leaves.’ I select the models where the ‘leaves’ are and the ‘leaves’ are selected instead of the entire model itself.
Is there a way to ‘fix’ this aside from double-clicking the model?
You can hold Shift + Click the parts you want to select.
You can press Ctrl + A but it’d select everything inside your game.
You can hold Click and select the parts you want to select.
If you can do this, try Ctrl + G to group the parts to a model.
I know, however, the issue is that every model I select it selects by default the part I’m clicking in the model rather than the model itself. It’s annoying when you select a model and instead of moving/resizing it you end up moving/resizing one part inside the model instead of the model itself.
That isn’t normal, the only way this should happen is if you’re using a plugin like f3x.
It has happened to me occasionally while using a mac but not on a pc. It could have something to do with the mouse click or sensitivity settings but that’s a wild guess.
I am using a mac so that might be the issue. Sometimes it selects as it should and sometimes it doesn’t. I don’t use f3x, it’s probably just the apple mouse causing the ‘problem.’
