Client Side Effects Question

I’d like to ask some questions to further my understanding, in some games developers tends to use client-side for effects so it runs smooth and doesn’t cause any server lag, my question is let’s say, for example, you wanna make a skill that is flashy with full of effects and it also deals damage ofc, now my question or my curiosity is wouldn’t that cause some delay if the player is lagging? for example, it deals damage first then the effects showed late how do they overcome this problem? in fact does that problem even happen?

server fire’s all the clients for the effect and the server then proceeds to damage the players inside the range, does that cause some issue?

Not really. If both signals for damage and effects come from the server, they should arrive at the same time.

I’m sure delay only happens when you pass the limits of remote events.
