Yeah, it seems like this bug has definitely been a factor for my game’s visits and like ratio to go down since last weekend. We had a high of 3,000 concurrent players a week ago, we haven’t been able to hit 2,000 this weekend, and I’m willing to bet this issue was a big reason in that.
Hi, I released a change to a small portion of users(~5%) to help improve touched event memory usage and network usage. It seems the change breaks some of the experiences. Apologies for the issue caused by the change. I’ve reverted the change as of 17:40 Pacific Time. Please let me know if the issue persists. Thank you for your patience and understanding!
Didn’t fix my game. Do we have to publish for it to have effect or is it rolling out?
Hi, server and client should automatically pickup the flag status, studio needs a restart. If you start a new server and join it, can you reproduce the issue?
Just to clarify, will the fix only be available in new servers?
i found this.
but i am unsure if it’s related to the touch event because i found a post about the old menu and someone found out if you write something in the ClientAppSettings it enables it (since i liked i did that) so it may be an error related to that. But still did not fix anything for me.
I realized that the touch interest instance is not created.
If you don’t know, when you connect the touched event, the game creates a touch interest for it to actually work.
The fix is available for all players and servers. But it’s possible the broken workflow created some broken game states, only a restart can clean up these broken states; it’s also possible the non-broken workflow requires some existing game states, but these states are not there since we didn’t run the workflow since server started up. A restart will allow us to focus on the issue not caused by the broken game states.
I don’t want to be that guy, but…
A lot of people here, myself especially, had their games considerably broken during one of the biggest holiday weekends of the year. Way more than 5% of my players had this issue where they could not buy buttons, collect their cash, etc. in my game, as seen by some of the polls I took periodically:
(not to mention the many group wall posts and Discord messages I received of people complaining about this)
Last weekend, my game had a high of 3,000 CCUs, a huge milestone for the game and my development group. This weekend, we were lucky to achieve 33-50% of that number - I’m not saying that this glitch was the primary driving force of that big drop-off, but I believe it was a HUGE catalyst in it.
I’m not asking for any sort of reparations or anything, but I would like for this bug and its consequences on our games to be acknowledged more
Thank you very much for replying. When you say ‘restart’, what do you mean exactly?
Thanks for asking! Shutdown all servers will force a restart of all servers.
Do you still experience the issue?
Same here, I’m assuming nothing will be done but it’s really unfortunate
My new game was hitting higher and higher CCU counts up until this bug started occurring when the visits started dropping and the like ratio got completely destroyed, and now I’m sitting here wondering if it’ll even get picked up by the algorithm again for a second chance
I haven’t gotten any new reports so it does look like the issue is fixed but the damage has already been done
I have had no reports from my players of anyone experiencing anymore issues, but it hasn’t been too long since I forced a shutdown of my servers. I will let you know if I do get reports of any issues.
Yep. Our usual numbers have been halved since this glitch occurred. We have half the player count that we used to (currently at 700-800 right now, usually we would be at 1200-1500 on a weekday), and half the revenue that we also used to have.
Luckily our like ratio wasn’t that demolished, we maybe lost 1-2% of it but still. We were also on the “up-and-coming” category the day this issue started… then we quickly fell off of it due to it.
We still get a fair amount of visits/revenue a day, nothing to scoff at, but I am really upset that a little ROBLOX update caused this much issue

Hello, I’ve fixed the previous issue and I’ll resume the release in the next few days. Please let me know if you observed any issues. Thank you!
It seems to be broken again. I have been getting a lot of complaints about players being unable to buy buttons or collect their cash, starting yesterday, again.
EDIT: here are some pictures and videos of numerous people on my group wall, group Discord server, and even a video of in-game footage, about the bug.
In the above video, the affected user has way more than the cash he needs to buy a $150 item, but he cannot buy it due to this bug randomly affecting him. As you can see for the other players in the game, they are not having an issue whatsoever.
Thanks for reporting the issue! For these users who report the issues, are any of them are NOT on a mobile device?
I can confirm that the “HELLSISLAND 1, 2 Buckle my Shoe” and “Kaydenjk_jj” guys who reported the issue in my Discord server experienced this issue as mobile players.
One guy in my Discord server who said he had the issue, said that he was NOT playing on mobile and had the issue.
The “StandWithUkraine” and “Random” guys from the group wall, I cannot confirm if they are mobile or not.
I am currently trying to get more information on the other players in my Discord server who said they had this issue, and see if they are mobile players or not.
