Intro
Hi! I’m sepro1144, you’ve probably seen one of my recent posts. I decided to spend some of my free time each day working on a new, unreleased game called Toy Car Simulator
About the Game
Toy Car Simulator will be a cartoony Simulator type game in which players “Charge their friends” to look at watch their car drive/race. They get a certain amount of money per x meters/laps from their friends depending on what car they have and it’s value/rarity. They spend the money on new cars, in game, non-Gamepass perks (there will also be Gamepass/dev product perks), bigger money bags, pets, and new areas with higher paying friends.
Payment
I will only be hiring 3 people to help with this game, and they will be paid by the percentages below
Me - 5%
Builder - 25%
Semi-Advanced Scripter - 50%
GFX Designer - 5%
And then around 15% will go towards advertising the game
Payment will be received by staff once I have the funds to create a group for the game
(I won’t be hiring on a first come first serve basis, it will be Based on quality)

Straight off problem with payment 20% for a scripter!?? sorry but this just seems sort of ridiculous for any game. This Post will explain more clearly how you should be spending your budget. Secondly although kind of the same issue. Your paying a UI designer the same as a scripter… no further comment. Thirdly your taking 25% for yourself? what is your role in this team? because 25% is huge for someone who only thought of a game idea. I strongly advise you re-evaluate this or you will find you wont have much success getting a good quality builder and scripter who are effectively the most important team members on a game like this.
Example of what I think you should be paying:
You: 0-5 %
Builder: 30 - 40%
Scripter: 50 - 70%
GFX Designer: 5% / 20,000 - 50,000R$
Then you find an investor / fund ads yourself
Only exceptions to this is if you ind someone truly exceptional

The only reason I have me getting so much of the profit is because this was originally going to be a personal game, then I realized that I was gonna need help with stuff, and knew that if they were helping me out, they at least deserve SOME payment, thus I am keeping lowering my pay to 15%, but will redo the others to better fit the job
Builders will be building/modeling cars, “tip jars” to hold their earned cash, buildings for decoration, other forms of decor, and possibly even maps for the tracks. They will also be building/modeling custom NPCs
If the game turns out profitable enough to pay more that a couple builders then yes most likely. The first couple maps aren’t gonna take much skill though, so I’m just getting one or 2 other builders for now
you’re undervaluing the builder position, since you’re not doing anything pretty much I suggest lowering your percentage to 5% and give the builder at least 25%
