Founded in 2018, Calastar is a modern-day, fictitious Ro-Nation based in Western Europe. Upon launch, Calastar quickly grew into one of Roblox’s leading fictitious Ro-Nations - creating a brand for itself within the community. After a successful 2 years, we temporarily halted operations in the Spring of 2020. Now, as we prepare to expand into a new era, Calastar is calling on the ROBLOX developer community to join us on our journey. Our goal is to evolve the Ro-Nation genre into a new form of gameplay; Where role-play and interactive gaming go hand-in-hand to create the ultimate immersive city life experience.

:hammer_and_wrench: About The Job

We are seeking motivated professional developers to join Calastar’s development team. All vacant positions are listed below, as well as examples of our style from previous games. Our developers will work together under the direction of senior group management to create a modern-day fictitious city game. We are aiming to release the game in a short time frame, and therefore the working environment is rather fast-paced. Developers are expected to work a minimum of 7 hours per week in order to meet our quotas. Tasks will be assigned to each developer on a weekly basis and a timeframe for completion will be determined. We strive for a highly communicative team, and as a result hold regular meetings to discuss plans for the group.

Examples of our game style


[FULL-TIME] Builder | Job Status: Open

We are currently seeking two to three (2-3) builders. Builders will be tasked with creating structures of various sizes, styles, and levels of detail, as well as assisting in map design. Tasks may include, but are not limited to:

  • Detailed buildings with interiors
  • Generic filler buildings
  • City objects (e.g. light posts, benches, fences, etc.)

[FULL-TIME] Scripter | Job Status: Closed

We are currently seeking one (1) scripter. Scripters will be tasked with programming a number of both complex and simple systems for the game that will be required to work concurrently. Tasks may include, but are not limited to:

  • Datastores
  • User interfaces
  • Tools (e.g. pepper spray, spike strips, coffee cups, etc.)

[FULL-TIME] 3D Modeller | Job Status: Open

We are currently seeking one (1) 3D modeller. 3D modellers will be tasked with creating various objects and equipment with 3D modelling applications such as Blender and then transferring them to ROBLOX Studio. Tasks may include, but are not limited to:

  • Body attachments (e.g. vests, armour, caps, etc.)
  • Tools
  • Fences and gates

[COMMISSION] Graphic Designer | Job Status: Closed

We are currently seeking one (1) graphic designer. Graphic designers will be tasked with creating detailed graphics using softwares such as Photoshop and Blender. Tasks may include, but are not limited to:

  • GFX thumbnails
  • GFX icons
  • Logos

We ask that all of our staff:

  • Complete tasks by the scheduled completion date.
  • Have long-term commitment and offer a fair advance notice if resignation is intended.
  • Be communicative with fellow team members, senior management, and other community members.
  • Be open to constructive criticism.
  • Be engaging with others by suggesting ideas and improvements, as well as bearing effective public relation skills.

:dollar: Payment

We pay our staff in the form of Robux only. We provide all staff members with contracts to guarantee they will receive their pay in a timely manner and to ensure we our receive assets in return. Full-time team members receive a fixed weekly salary upon completion of their assigned tasks for that week. However, we pay bonuses and increase salaries for work that exceeds the typical demand (i.e. large-scale or complex assignments). Commissioned developers receive a contract and are payed a pre-determined amount for completing a specified amount of work.
