[CLOSED] Commissioning a 2D/3D Texture Artist

Hello everyone!

I’m EvilArtist, the Art Director and main artist for Bittersweet, a MOBA game based in candy land and mechanical-steampunk environments.

Myzta and I are looking for a quick hire to make re-skins for some of our heroes! We’re looking for an extra artist who has a creative mind to implement a new theme and/or color scheme for our original characters.

We have a reskin for all of them already, and your job is to potentially make another one for half of them. This job requires some minimal knowledge of how to use Blender, and an outside digital drawing program (such as Paint Tool SAI, photoshop, etc.) or a 3D texture painting program if you work with that instead.
If you think your knowledge of Blender is holding you back, please apply anyway!

You’ll be working closely with me and Myzta to complete these. Our workflow requires you to give us a rundown of what you’re thinking of making, and we’ll approve or give some input. After that we need you to make visual concept art before starting on the texture.
concepts may also include a rework of the original mesh for a more unique touch!
A texture and UV map similar to this one will be provided (layered version to add or remove some components i.e. the gold)

Texture

Payment is negotiable. Range of $25-$50 each, so up to $200 if you do all 4!

Please apply by messaging me on the Devforum, or DM’ing me on Twitter
Apply with any past work, or any art in general. Let us know if you think your skills can apply to textures!

This project is due on the 31st of October, so apply as soon as possible!
If you have ANY questions before applying, please let me know below or message me!

We look forward to working with you!

Is there a restricted style to this?

It depends, as long as you can shade well and have a wide range of color use (more than just cell shading or blocking in colors) then you’re good to go. We’d just like to see examples of how your artwork/past textures can apply to what we want to see.

I mean are “realistic” textures not allowed? For example this.

Is there a low poly - cartoony style we must stick to?
