About Me:

Howdy! I’m Dalex, or Alex, a 20 y/o programmer on the Roblox platform. I have been around for about 10 years and 5 of those years under this account working to develop fun projects be it my own or contributions to others. I am passionate about game design and love using Roblox because of how easy it is to develop and express creativity!

Specialization:

I specialize in programming, mostly working with front-end programming but also working with back-end programming from time to time. Along side programming, I also build and work with simple UI designing.

- Communication and organization are two big things I like to keep strong when working along side others, be it in big teams or small. These two skills I believe are what keep a game strong with the productivity.

I work well with others in teams, be it large or small, but I can also work well on my own.

Work Showcase:

Over my time under the Da1ex account, I have worked on small scale projects on my own that haven’t seen the light of day due to lack of funding. Most of my work publicly have been from working for others to either make from ground up or continue to maintain productivity of the game.

Here is a list of some of my most notable work/contributions:

Designer Mania:

  • I work on Designer Mania as the Lead Developer, doing all programming and UI designing. This project, originally by @MonkrysGhost, was remade from the ground up by me for a 2021 release. I was/am the primary programmer and maintain the game to allow for more content to be added, currently working to rehaul the UI and gameplay for an update.

Field Trip Z:

  • I was a gameplay programmer for Field Trip Z in the summer of 2020. I worked on small gameplay aspects to help contribute to weekly updates for the game, as well as fixing up small bugs found within the game.

World Defenders:

  • For World Defenders, I have worked on numerous big features for the game. Some examples being skin support for towers and pets, split-track support for both towers and enemies, season pass, air-drop feature, rewriting map voting to support 2 types of voting, and a PvP mode. I have also been working to fix numerous bugs for the game. More features to come as well!

Dragon Fire:

  • I have only contributed some work to this project to help @Rudolph101 get the project ready for release. That includes auto-equiping eggs when purchased, some visual changes to the game when dragons are hatches, and a system to reward special stats to the first batch of dragons hatched in a time frame.

Infinite Autocorrect:

  • While working on Infinite Autocorrect, I was one of two programmers hired. I was tasked with continuing content updates as well as revamping the whole design of the game’s building and UI. I produced a good portion of the game’s current redesign look.

NFL Tycoon:

  • This was the first project I was able to collaborate on as a contractor at MELON, I was tasked with helping program the tools used in the superbowl event titled The Destruction House

Chipotle Burrito Builder:

  • This was the second project I worked on as a contractor at MELON, I took lead in engineering the main “Burrito Builder” minigame for players to enjoy! As well as working on finalizing up the “Burrito Delivery” minigame as well and helping work on bug fixing.

Guacathon with Denzel Curry:

  • I was the lead engineer on this MELON event, this being the first concert I ever engineered for. I was focused on making sure all songs were put together and had cinematic cutscenes to tie them into together. I also worked on the second song in the concert “Troubles” along side the cutscnees.

TechQuest by Computer History Museum:

  • I was the lead engineer for most of this project, until needing to help work on Guacathon’s concert. In my time I was focxued on most of the project’s systems such as NPC task giving and task rewarding. As well as things like teleporting to the different worlds and some of the world tasks that player’s get to enjoy!

Other Projects:

As well as many fun small projects I develop for the fun of it but never seeing the light of day.

Availability:

I am available to work usually anywhere from 20-40 hours a week with weekends usually off. This is usually a flexible thing with me depending on if I enjoy the project a lot and that usually means I will work on the project on my days off!

- Currently I am not looking for any work at this time.

Payment:

Robux or USD works for me. I don’t accept % pay if that is the only form of payment to offer for a job, unless the project is already making a steady revenue.

As a former client, I highly recommend hiring Da1ex. He’s great with time management, and would be very valuable as a team asset for you. He also is highly flexible when it comes to any changes of any sorts when it’s being hired as a commission and/or as a project contribution.

Your portofolio looks very nice, but how would you estimate your logos price?

I’ve known Da1ex for about 3 years now and I definitely recommend hiring him. He is beyond productive and talented and never gives up on anything. If you need a game designer, hire Da1ex.
