About Me:

I’m a 17-year-old student from the United States studying computer science, graphics design, foreign languages, linguistics, and poetry. I have some intermediate experience in programming—but haven’t made anything impressive or advanced; I’m currently learning the basics of Blender, 3D-modeling, and UV-editing; I am a native English and Spanish speaker and have learned Mandarin-Chinese to an intermediate level; along with foreign language, I am learning linguistics to further cultivate my learning; poetry is a side hobby that was born from my interest in semantics.

Why Spanish?

Spanish is the second most spoken language on Roblox and the second most spoken native language in the world! It is spoken in various countries in the Americas and Europe—with an estimated 437,000,000 native speakers. Many Spanish speakers reside in Latin-American countries—most of which are third world countries with a small number of English speakers. Now that Roblox has gone international—it is strategic to localize your game into Spanish!


Experience:

  • Performed various translation and interpretation duties from Spanish to English (and vise versa), including written texts and localization;
  • Translated text projects, including official documents for groups, website content, and official reports; and
  • Provided interpretation and transcription services as needed by groups and clients.

Education:

Relevant Coursework:

  • Two years of a High School Spanish course;
  • Two semesters of a Spanish Language and Culture College course; and
  • Four years of high school Mandarin Chinese (a foreign language) course.

Showcase:

Currently, I’ve only worked for a single client on Roblox; however, that will change soon.

How I Work:

I do not use Google Translate—it is anything but accurate; instead, in addition to my own knowledge, I use trusted online dictionaries for accuracy and rare-words.

I accept:

  • a provided Localization Table via Roblox;
  • a document (.txt, .docx, .pages, Google Docs, etc.); or
  • a spreadsheet (.excel, .numbers, Google Sheets, etc.)

Note: I do also accept images—such as thumbnails and icons. But, I will only translate the text on the image; I am no photo-editor. You would have to contact whoever made the image and request a translated version of it.

If you want to provide me any other type of file, we can discuss that.

Why me?

  • Speed — I do my best to get the work done as fast as possible, doing up to 500 strings in a day.
  • Accuracy and reliability — along with speed, I make sure the translations are accurate as possible; I also take time to review my work thoroughly once it’s completed.
  • Trustworthiness and kindness — I maintain a high level of respect with my clients as well as kindness as I wouldn’t want to disappoint them.

Pricing: USD$5/file or R$400/file

I only charge fees for my service, and not “price per word/cell.” It does not matter the size of the file; the fee will not change. I generally prefer USD; but, Robux works as well. I charge R$400, as it is based off the current USD-Robux exchange rate (1 Robuck = 0.0035 USD).

Unless I receive a document with a minimal amount of translatable work—then the price is negotiable.

Cheap:

There are many other Spanish localizers out there that charge (at the bare minimum) R$5 per word or per string. This can lead to a high price tag; with this example, a game with 1,000 strings can cost up to R$5,000! I, however, only charge a fee of R$400 for any file or localization table with any amount of words or strings!
