I HAVE CHOOSEN A VOICE ACTOR, PLEASE DO NOT DM ME!
Hey, I am Cedar. I am currently working on a story game, based of a zombie infection that kills a town. You as the character doesn’t know what has happened and you play as a single player.
I have lots of story scenes in my game and I really want a voice actor, I know most players will say, because I am not paying. I wouldl ove to pay robux but I haven’t got very much yet. When this game grows, and earns robux I would pay anyone who helped make it!

If you are thinking about being a voice actor for me, please attach a example of your voice acting skills!
I’d at least give 20-30% of the games earnings. While it seems like a lot, Voice Actors are usually the main reason games get players. Circus Trip blew up mainly because of the Voice Acting and amazing story line.
20-30% is a ridiculous amount to be giving a Voice-Actor. I disagree with all your points. While voice actors do get people to play, it doesn’t use as much as effort as other stuff for example, scripting takes writing 1000s of lines of codes and it is extremely difficult to do, or building takes lots of time and patience and could take up to 10 hours for a single build. I would say around 2-5%, if you don’t have enough money to pay them per asset. I would definitely not say voice-acting a few sentences deserves that much percentage.
While yes it does seem like a lot, it is good for games to have an upfront pay. Maybe if you did,
20-30% if game earns <1000R$
15% if game earns <10000R$
10% if game earns <100000R$
5% if game earns 100000R$+
Let’s continue this in DMs and not flood this post.
Tbh, I would either give credits or a small amount of robux to a Voice-Actor. Giving game percentages is ridiculous, you never know when your game blows up and you start earning a lot.
Maybe you’d get more clientele through Hidden Developers, but with percentages I just do not trust it, you never know when the game itself will (or if it will) grow. I’d suggest giving at least 1K starting amount, most people will not do such a task for free, as they could be using there voice for bigger projects, so maybe think about that.
Voice actors don’t make 20-30% of a game’s revenue, most of the budget goes to paying programmers, paying somebody that much of the games revenue to say a few paragraphs is ridiculous, while a programmer might make the same percentage scripting everything in the game, voiced lines are a bonus, and most games thrive without them, they aren’t by any means crucial.
