The Company

Tom’s Games is a newly formed (August 2020) game development company on the Roblox platform. We currently have 6 of some of the most talented developers on Roblox working towards bringing truly unique and polished products to players.

We are currently working on our first project, which is scheduled to be released on the 6th November 2020 however we are way ahead of schedule as of right now.

About The Job

We are looking for a high quality User Interface designer to join our team.

If you are selected, you will be working on a by-need basis whereby we will contact you with information about the next jobs we need you to complete and set a deadline for those jobs to be complete. As far as what happens when you are given your jobs, that’s up to you. We will not micro-manage you, nor will we ask for regular updates to work. If you choose to wait until a day before the deadline to do all the work, so be it. All we care about is deadlines are met.

Examples of tasks we will provide you with would be creating an initial menu screen for our game, some tutorial UI explaining some key mechanics such as movement and interactions with the environment.

Payment

As we have not yet released a game, we can only provide you with a 7.5% stake in all game profits.

It is a company goal to be able to provide all team members with a reliable fixed-rate salary by January 2021.

In case the project falls under and is unable to be completed, we will be sharing between the team members a total of $3,000 and R$20,000.

If you believe this is low, I will only be taking 5% and 30% of profits will be reinvested into the company. This figure is also non-negotiable.

Do you need the UI designer to be able to script the UI? It was worded a little strangely on the website. I understood the part where the UI designer needs to understand how the scripts will be interacting with the UI, just wanting to make sure if you need the UI Designer to be able to script the UI as well.

Hi there!

A basic understand of scripting with User Interface is really helpful as it allows you to create some basic functionality to your UIs as well as set up UIs so they can be easily scripted.
