Who I Need — I’m looking for a builder to help me create a map for game with mechanics similar to League of Legends by Riot Games and DotA2 by Valve. I’m not looking for a crazy experienced builder; but I do expect interested parties to have past works to show me. even if not used in a game.
What I Need — Above is a “whitebox” map with a collision mask (non-walkable areas) already set up. This map merely needs to be decorated with visual flair only (everything will have CanCollide off). You are to use this whitebox to reflect the collision mask of the game. Everything in the above picture, including the water, the baseplate, and the circular bases themselves, is eligible to be changed. I am flexible on the art style of the game at the moment, and will work within your abilities to create a style that is both compelling and consistent.
The map collision mask is symmetrical. I would prefer the map not be. It can be symmetrical for some things (say, terrain). Each half of the map ought to have a theme that says “this is team X’s side of the map”. Gameplay comes first – I’m expecting gameplay to take center stage moreso than the visual aesthetic of the game.
Compensation — I’m willing to negotiate compensation for this project.
- Most likely a revenue sharing percentage up to a cap, determined by quality of result (most likely 500K R$)
- Pay minimum is going to be no lower than 80,000 Robux, no matter the success of the project.
- Half of the minimum payment up-front upon selection.

- How big is the map? - 365 studs diameter, not including the grey team bases on the left and right sides of the map. Click here to download an RBXM file of the screenshot’s baseplate (CSG) and map reference (invisible part with decal).
- Any points of interest? - The top of the map currently features a waterfall, which I’m somewhat attached to. The bottom of the map involves something special. Team bases are on the left and right. The center will have an obelisk of sorts, magically floating above the water.
- When do you expect this completed? - I’d like this project not to take more than 3 weeks, but can go to the end of January if necessary. However, I can’t imagine the level of detail will require much more time than that.
- What would you like showcased? - This map is outdoors and involves terrain. Flora is abundant, maybe some ruins as well. Check out the dead EA game “Dawngate” by Waystone, or look at some screenshots of other fantasy style DOTA-likes. I’m not looking to directly emulate another game’s style. If you have anything else that shows your attention to detail/composition, I’d also like to see that.
- How can I showcase my past work? - Links to places I can walk around in, rbxm/rbxl files, screenshots (use an imgur album if you have many). Be sure to provide as much information as you can in order to provide context for your builds. Give me notes of what you’d do differently if you were to make them in present day, and for what compensation.
