Hi I’m looking for a programmer to join my game development group:
What’s the job?
This is a preferably long term role due to the ease that familiarity brings into the workflow. This is a fairly independent role even though it says co-programmer; this is because other programmers will be working on their own tasks while you’re busy.
you’d be working cross-project on both features and bugfixes ; pretty much the handyman equivalent in a game development group.
Payment
• One-time payments; milestone-payments are possible for longer tasks. This is because most tasks are like commissions.
• % share is possible for working on the same project for a while or having done important / a lot of work for one. This would be put on top of the previously mentioned pay.
summary of current payments that the group goes by in general:
• Bug fixes: 15-45k robux
• Game features: varies (negotiable %)
• System revamps: 50-100k (negotiable %)
• New game - Alpha builds: 300k robux + %
Examples of currently available tasks:
– revamping a camping game framework, I’ll be paying 50k robux from group funds for it. (negotiable)
– Improving the enemy AI in Circus Trip (negotiable)
Expectations
Must-Haves for Applicants
• Have a lot of free time at their disposal
• Can focus on one project at a time while being able to do their own research when developing new features or fixes.
• Have good communication skills, since we’re working in a team.
• Have the ability to create modular and easy to read code
• Have a generally good idea of how to utilize the Roblox API efficiently ― know when and where to use features sparingly as to prevent bloated code.
Nice to haves for Applicants:
• Has worked on a previous game before
• Has a deep understanding of: Pathfinding, CFrame Manipulations, Datasaving
• Has experience in other facets of game development (UI design preferably)
