Hi there! I am the lead developer behind the game Car Crushers 2. This game is all about satisfactory destruction, driving, demolishion derby and fun, streamlined progression. Car Crushers 2 opened in a simple beta state three years ago, and it has grown ever since. It has consistently been among the top 50 highest rated and highest earning roblox games since the start, and today we have over 4 Million MAU, with an enormous community of over 30,000 discord members and 3 million group members.
We’re now searching for a new member who can assist with the game’s programming/scripting full-time. There are big expansions in store for the game and there is much to be done!
About The Position
As a Car Crushers 2 programmer you’ll be doing various scripting work for upcoming updates, including additions and upgrades to existing game functionality. Some of the game’s planned additions are listed in our public Trello here: Trello
The work will take place remotely, and you will be working your own hours on various assignments. Personal time management is a very important part of the job. You must be able to plan and allocate your time to meet the needed delivery targets, as well as providing regular updates on your progress. You should always ask for help/feedback when you need it, all to ensure we ship the best product possible.
As a full-time position, the workload will be roughly 35-40 hours per week. Time recording and task organization will largely be done via Clickup. However if you happen to have ongoing classes or anything preventing full-time as of now, it will be possible to start off with a different schedule for the remainder of that period. If so please mention this in the application.
Needed Development Traits:
- Sufficient experience with constraints and dynamic assemblies (Such as creating player-controlled mechanisms for a vehicle)
- Ability to work well with CFrames and object geometry (Such as welding and animating map elements)
- Great knowledge around the roblox engine and your code’s interplay with performance
- A habit of coding preventively toward all potential client-server exploitation
- Ability to create sleek UI animations and other front-end programming
- Ability to expand and improve upon existing code when necessary
Bonus traits:
- Ability to work with player characters, such as setting up player weapons or working with ragdolling
- Ability to make detailed special effects
- Ability to create Http implementations with external APIs
- Ability to build scalable multi-platform UI in the game’s style
- Ability to create player animations
- Experience in other fields that relate to game development
Payment
The payment starts at $6,000-$8,500 USD per month negotiated based on your experience, and there is headroom to earn raised payrates beyond this. You need to be eligible for DevEx as payment is distributed from the game’s group funds. We will sign an agreement specifying exact payment terms and more.
Important information
- I live in Sweden, so if you live far from CEST you may have to adjust at which times you develop. If you live in Europe or east America the timezone won’t be a problem.
