Hello, I’m the creator of Criminality, my newly released free-roam, and lawless fighting game.
The Job
I have plans for a possible entirely new map for the game, and I’m looking for 3 highly experienced builders to take the role of a long-term map designer and builder for the game. As well as making the map, you will be expected to be available to make changes and updates to the map when needed (will be paid separately on top of the map payment itself).
Due to this being a map for a fighting game, the level of detail is not the primary focus for it. You will need to keep in mind various things:
Points
Performance / optimisation
A drawback to the current map is that it contains a lot of detail (over 40K+ parts). It lacks in its performance for low-end users. As a map builder, it is your job to decide on the necessary actions to take in order to make sure the map optimization is well and stable.
Lighting
Lighting is an important part of the game, as certain areas with dimmer lighting can hold advantages and disadvantages. You will be expected to make good use of point lights and such on the map.
Gameplay
The map for the game controls a lot of what takes place gameplay-wise, and it is essential that it is structured in the best way possible. This is the most essential point, and the structure of the map and how it performs in terms of gameplay is most important.
Design
The current map is roughly 1000 x 1500 studs in size, however, it has quite a vast sewer system and other underground locations. I would like the new map to be a lot bigger than it currently is, probably around 2x more.
Payment
Payment is negotiable, and is estimated to range between 150 - 325K R$ per builder (looking for roughly 3 builders). Price range will ultimately be based on how much work is put in and how well it fits the criteria.
Payment method will be through R$ group funds.
