Hihi, we are the small group of developers running the open world, Player Based Economy game called Anomic, which you might heard of since it got quite successful in a few months!

Why

Our current open world game map is far from the quality level I initially wanted to have. There are only 4 different types of plants, barely any detail, bad and partially flat and empty terrain, the road network being made within 20 minutes, and repititive use of the same buildings. Therefore we want a complete overhaul. AND I AM NOT MOTIVATED ENOUGH.

Our Idea of the Map

Our game, Anomic is meant to be set in the late 80s to early 90s somewhere in the nothingness of Mojave Desert, Nevada. With small shabby towns scattered around the whole map, maybe a few canyons, rivers, small forests, ruins, gas stations, oil fields, and other locations of interest. The map should feel open and be detailed. The main city, being a tourist attraction, providing shopfronts and apartments, will basically be the hotspot for all the players.

About The Job

Skilled Terrain Artist & Road Builder

Your job will be to make use of smooth terrain to create the base of the map in a desert environment, it is meant to look realistic, diverse, detailed, and unique, and preferably with least amount of empty space once finished, since you might know as a builder, detail is everything, you will have to be capable of building the whole road network for the game, utilizing parts and bricks in sort of cartoony (aka SmoothPlastic) style to make it look appealing, not to forget these roads should look properly made and sport markings etc; you will have to leave some space to build on for smaller towns or other locations, our modeler currently prepares lots of different plant models for you to work with to detail the map. I will later on join in the development to place the buildings and props, which you as map artist can help with.

Quality Model Builder capable of building quality things of various types

Your job is to build a wide range of different buildings, be it a hospital, a cottage, an apartment, or a gas station.

The models should not have a showcase quality, just enough so it looks appealing without making the performance for toaster computer players going into the basement.

Props : You have to be capable of building models of any complexity and size, be it a simple barrel, a set of wall mounted decorations, or a complex oil pump. We need lots of those since once again, Detail and Variety is everything

Furniture : for the building system and other items we will detail the map with.

You will make use of the SmoothPlastic material as much as possible, since it just looks good in modern Roblox. You will be given a list of what to do, and maybe in the afterward help decorating the map. It would actually be good too if you are capable of modelling some more complex furniture items. But if you think you can do it by hand, uh head on.

What we expect from you

We want you to be motivated, and ensure that you won’t give up at some point. You as individual will have to work together with the other person getting hired here. You should be available during the development regularly. You don’t have to go through an interview or voicecall or some. We would wish this to become a long term thing to work with you and maybe create some more stuff in the afterward for us… Maybe you will make some serious money out of this at some point?

We don’t want the work to be rushed and have pressure lying on you, since my own work in Anomic was kind of rushed and you see the unsatisfying result. Take as much time as you want/need. The development will obviously take some months, maybe even up to a half year, don’t lose motivation!

Payment

We are NOT paying per asset, we will NOT pay upfront, since it is obvious that we would not scam you as creators of a quite popular game. We can consider giving you a part of the reward when the work is halfway done. But this is to keep you from suddenly cancelling the work mid development, which might would be catastrophic for us.

Otherwise, each individual hired here can get a reward of 750,000 R$ or higher, we will not do payments with real world currency or any other thing outside Roblox.
