Hi there! We are Photon Studios, a small upcoming game development team. The game we are currently working on is called “Car Madness”, a fight-to-the-death battle arena car game. Our goal is to finish our game and have it released publicly before the end of next month.

About The Job
We’re looking for an experienced developer who can make us a fully working car that all players will be driving each round. Good communication skills are appreciated; we check team progress daily and want to maintain a healthy relationship with one another. Below are further details about this role.
Car Developer:
I need a person to be able to model the mini carts for this game and develop the scripts so it that can accelerate, decelerate, turn and jump using a specific key. Below are a few aspects for the car of what it should look like. I also need this person to design at least 2 car skins before the game goes public so that the shop will have 2 products available to buy.
Car Aspects
We have a goal of releasing our game before the end of next month. This should be plenty of time to finish up final details and testing before going public.
Payment
We are offering 25% of the games profit for the Car Developer if we can maintain a successful running game that earns us Robux revenue. This of course requires joining our Roblox group ‘Photon Studios’. Although if things take a turn and the game ends up failing i’ll payout each developer a negotiable amount of Robux. In an unlikely scenario, if the game doesn’t even earn any revenue within a certain time frame then I’ll find another method of paying the developers.

You must be 13 years or older to apply.
Why does 15% of the profit go to the car developer? That is insanely little. Your game is all about the cars, right? So why not prioritize it more… at least 40-50%? Not to mention this person is responsible for both modeling and making the car functional.
You could take some away from the shop, or leave it I guess. That is probably the easiest thing to do in the entire project
Edit: ok, you raised it to 25%. but still. what is that other 55% being used for exactly
The other 75% is going towards the other four developers, including myself. Overall I just want to be sure than each developer gets a respectful amount for the effort they put into this game once the game earns revenue. As the other guy said I developing a backup plan if this game actually starts to fail.
Just saying, but this comment is quite frankly absurd, in fact 25% is a massive overpayment so I would probably actually keep it down to a maximum of 10%.
The cars should in fact be paid within Robux.
I know how much stuff goes for within the current market, I think you’re the one joking around giving him bad advice on how to run his finances.
If you was looking for someone to develop a fully working chassis (Might not generally be hard unless you’re looking for more advanced mechanics for the vehicles) I’d strongly recommend you just commission someone to do it for a fixed price.
If Car Developer means the person scripting the vehicle, then sure 15-25% is a decent percentage. But scripting a chassis system definitely isn’t the hardest thing to do and doesn’t deserve nearly half of the game profits. In fact, this should all be commissioned unless if the chassis is more complicated to script or needs to be maintained but should still only get around 10% since it’s maintaining a small feature and making it less buggy.
The other four developer each have their own role, our main Builder for the game is earning around 10% of the games profit, reason for this percentage is because I’m helping him out. Kind of back-to-back I guess except I mostly make changes once he’s done building something. Our Main Scripter is earning 15%, I negotiated the profit with him but he’s happy with that earning amount. Then we have our Shop Developer who’s earning 20%, although I now debate with myself if this is a reasonable profit. He is making the leader stats scripts, the shop and the inventory system and will be involved for future items released in the shop. The rest goes to me (30%).
I get that you have your own opinion about this idea and I respect that, we all do. Although I reckon that 30% is a good reasonable profit for the owner as I am already contributing all I can to the game and I’m organising a lot of things. Though I have made a post that includes my contributions to the game so I won’t bother makin a 3 paragraph comment explaining all factors about my game. Though I’d like to hear what you think is a reasonable earning for me as being the manager and founder.
