About the group

Greetings! I am the creator of Glitch-E games, a recently created group that I would like to recruit some professional developers for. This group will be dedicated to making high-quality, original, big-hit games, and giving the players a good experience. This group should only be compensated for our work when we earned their love of our players’ properly, and the players should be respected and not shoved popups and an overload of violating-of-player-experience UIs; this should be our group’s promise.

About me

Greetings! My name is Austin, and I have been on roblox for around 3.75 - 4 years; in fact, it helped me get into programming! I have wanted to make great games for a long time, but haven’t had the focus, patience, and attention span to really make a great game, but I think I can do better than that, and make something great, but I need help from other developers.

What do I do?

I will probably get a high pay, but that is due to the fact that I have a scripting role, and I will most likely assist others with their roles, and negotiation on pay is totally possible! In case you would like to see my portfolio, here it is! My portfolio

About the first game

“So, what will we be making for the first game?” is probably a frequently asked question. We will be making a game called Gravity Gunners as our first game. My ideas aren’t completely sorted out, but the key ingredients will most likely be:

  • Gravity change and lots of wacky yet cool physics
  • Many guns, and probably adjustments to the roblox character of the player or even full on custom characters.
  • Probably going to fall under the game genre of “First Person Shooter,” and of course with that comes along the complementary guns and “first person mode.”
  • Clear, smooth UI and UX with a good system, whether that be round-based, joining servers, etc. to implement the main aspects of the game into. Both and even other options or possible, but joining servers my be more optimized for player experience due to the fact that they can have a choice of who they want to play with and when. This might not be possible until we have enough people playing, however.

About the Job

When will work start on the first game

Soon. I have a lot of online schoolwork to do, but thankfully my school year has nearly ended by now, so in around 2 days I will be available to develop almost full-time.

The Team

The team will consist of the following roles below. If a role says “available,” that means that that role is not filled up by anyone yet. Roles will not be rushed, so don’t expect to be hired after one day (I want to ensure that I get the best people possible). Payments will be listed next to the role, but keep in mind, they are negotiable later.
Our team might have more people in the future, but for right now it is just these.

What is expected from each role

  • Co-Builders: Work together to make high quality builds. You will be doing a lot for this job, hence your 20% pay, and this will be a more serious job, so be expected to be ready to work with me a lot to make the game work, as you and me will be the ones helping implement many of the aspects of the game.

  • Modeler: You are going to be the only modeler of the game, so you will be paid a lot. Meshes you will need to make can range from many to very little; this is a job that can require lots of effort or no effort depending on the situation.

  • UI Designer: Similar to modeler, except you will probably make a bit less UIs.

  • What is left: What is left will be going to other assets for the game, advertisements, and whatever is left will be split equally among all of us

  • Notice: If you are not doing your work as well as expected, your pay will most likely be lowered.

What is expected from you

I am looking for very good developers, who are devoted to this game, the group, and are long-term. I don’t want to see people applying who are confused about simple questions I ask them, and I will not tolerate it. Be prepared when it is time to show me your portfolio; if you don’t have one yet, and you would like to apply for this job, I advise you make one right now. I prefer the work in images. Things I expect from you, everything, all listed right here, are:

  • Act in a professional manner when serious development is taking place
  • Don’t mess around, and don’t mess up the game
  • Capable of speaking in voice chat. Don’t be embarrassed or feel scared to speak, my voice is not the greatest either.
  • Have a valid, up-to-date, and well-made portfolio that has your best work on it, ready to share to me when you DM me
  • Know how to navigate discord pretty well, and know how to handle large servers (WILL BE IMPORTANT LATER, AS THE SERVER WE WILL BE TALKING IN WILL LATER BE USED ALSO AS A COMMUNITY SERVER)
  • Be available for work at least 1-2 hours a day. My timezone is GMT-5 (I am in Texas), so please make sure that your time zone and schedules can fit that timing in, and if not, it won’t really be possible.
  • I don’t want to be against any young ages, and I am accepting any age, but you need to be focused, serious, and patient with this game, no matter how old you are.
  • Have good communication skills, and have respect for everyone else in the group. Friendly behavior towards other developers is expected. Try to get to know fellow developers and make friends.

Payment

Payment will be in percent, it is listed next to each role, so you can see how much you will be getting for that role if you get recruited for that role. I unfortunately don’t have enough funds to pay anyone at the moment. The good news is that you will get paid probably more if the first game we make is successful, but the bad news is that you will get paid nothing if the game is not successful and makes no money. So, it is mostly based on if you are devoted.

The same applies to other games we will make.

For how percent will work, you can either be paid through PayPal or group funds. You might be able to get more money if we do it through PayPal, but this only applies in some cases.
