Hey there! My name is Taylor/Crrustyy, and I am the owner and lead developer for True_Studios! Me and my partner, BuzzBuzz08 are creating a Jailbreak style game, and we are in the need of a secondary builder to speed things up! What I am looking for:
-Someone who is capable of building cities
-Someone who can work fast and part of a team
-Someone who has great communication skills
If you have either of these, let me know!
Payment:
We will be offering payment via percentages or game revenue.
More details in a DM on either developer forum or discord TaylorXIV#0447!
Anyway to OP, you should avoid doing large scale projects if you don’t have the funding. It’s best to wait until you have enough to ensure a payment in some way.
I’d likely do some GFX if the project’s a success btw
Thanks for pointing that out. Since I cannot afford to pay the builder, game revenue or percentages are the only option right now. This will change soon as I’m going for a job application to earn money, so then I will be able to pay them.
I’d say to get enough money. Just saying they developers will get game revenue or percentages is kinda vague and doesn’t really give anyone an idea of how much money they would make. You should probably also add how much money you expect to pay for the developers.
This is just my personal suggestion. But do as you will.
For the game revenue thing, I would say “game revenue or percentages” gives the person, no idea of what they’re getting paid. We have no idea, if your game will do well or not, so how will we know if we should work for you or not. But that’s just my opinion.
I would also say adding more details into your game recruitment/portfolio would be better for your game, like explain the idea of the game, more of what you need and explain to us how we should know if your game will do well or not…
But that’s just my opinion on your game recruitment/portfolio, but other than that your idea and selection is great.
First of all, I didn’t scam anyone, they weren’t doing any work, secondly, I had way too many developers, they were just angry that they got fired.
Bringing in a personal conversation isn’t needed. Trying to protect yourself on someone else’s post is a bit immature. Make the announcement on your actual post. Make it in your post or as a solution-reply.
To add to what speedstyle1234 said, if you are going with percentages @Crrustyy, it’s best to include as much about yourself including skill, previous successful projects etc as it’s a risk going into a large project with no confirmation of payment.
