Hi there, I am looking to gather a team of highly skilled developers to create some games on Roblox. As this is the first development-call that I have posted, our immediate goals are the following:
- September: Launch website and branding by the start of September.
- October: Create a small, simple but functional Roblox game.
- November: Expand the studio to create a larger, less simple but functional Roblox game.
- December: Provide employees with a salary.
What I’m looking for
I am looking for skilled developers with professional traits, good communication skills, a passion for development and an ungreedy nature.
- Must be willing to accept percentage payment for the first few months of employment.
- Must be willing to meet generous deadlines, handled by either a Trello board or a ClickUp board.
- Must be over the age of 15.**
**Exceptions will be made to candidates who show maturity and a competence at taking on responsibility in a development enviroment. If you believe you show these traits and do not fall under this requirement, you are encourged to apply despite this.

GAMEPLAY PROGRAMMER

- Confident in using ModuleScripts;
- Confident in game security and a clear understanding of the client-server model Roblox uses,
- Experience in publishing algorithms,
- Experience in writing code alongside other team members.
3D MODELLER / BUILDER

- Confident use of Blender (or other 3D modelling tool) to import assets into Roblox.
- Confident that, given various pieces of art, can reproduce concepts created by other team members.
- Understands potential limitations of large 3D assets.
- Proficient at editing existing 3D models potentially made by other team members.
GRAPHIC EFFECTS / CONCEPT ARTIST

- Large imagination to design and draw characters, settings and various assets.
- Competent at designing assets that other team members can model using your drawings.
UI DESIGNER

- Experience in creating UIs for Roblox games.
- Proficient at editing existing UIs potentially made by other team members.
- Basic understanding of programming within UIs.
ANIMATOR

- Experience in animating on Roblox (utilising other animation software such as Blender or Maya is beneficial but not required).
- Competent at taking existing animations made by other team members and improving them.
LEVEL DESIGNER

- Confident in piecing together various assets to create a fluid and functional world for players to enjoy.
- Competent to take existing levels possibly made by other team members and improve them.
- Forward thinking enough to communicate with artists and modellers with any suggestions you may have to improve a specific level.
SOUND ARTIST

- Experience in creating original scores as well as individual sound affects.
- Confident in speaking up and making suggestions on all audio within the games.
Initial Project
Our initial project which we hope to have finished by the start of October is a simple point-and-click horror game. The player will not have control over their Roblox character, however they will be able to move between rooms of a building to maintain track of 3 other characters. As the player progresses through the game, various events will take place where the player must think quickly on their feet else meet their untimely demise. More information will be provided to successful applicants.
Payment
Although we are looking for team members who are not all about payment, we understand that this is often a clear-cut requirement if you are to work with us. We are initially offering the following percentages of all company revenue depending on which position you take up:
- Gameplay programmer: 10%
- 3D modeller: 10%
- Concept artist: 7.5%
- UI designer: 7.5%
- Animator: 10%
- Level Designer: 10%
- Sound Artist: 7.5%
Total: 62.5% outsourced to developers.
My take: 5%
Company profit: 32.5% for advertisements, marketing and other company expenses.
As mentioned above, we are looking to create a firm hold on income and finances over the next few months. It is a company goal to create a low but stable income for all company employees by the end of the year. Although we cannot guarantee this, I will be providing backup payment to developers who will be affected by failing to meet this goal of:
$700 + R$20,000
