About Us
Hi, I am Sparky500000000 and I am a Group Manager in AU | Australia. Currently, we are working on a new roleplay driven game to phase out our city, Sydney, in exchange for a small town with surrounding villages featuring driving, crime, jobs, business, etc. The town is called Byron Bay, and whilst its namesake comes from the real Byron Bay in New South Wales, Australia, and several features mimic the town from real life - it is almost entirely fictional, which has enabled us to tailor it to our unique audience!
The Australian Dev Team currently consists of:
@Sparky500000000 - Building
@RudelyAwHakened - Building
@AndrewScipione - Building
@BlenderDeveloper - 3D Modelling (Vehicles)
@AntThatsOnline - Marketing & UI
@xxxsarcasmxxx - Marketing

About The Job
We are looking for a single programmer who is able to work with some existing scripts, and is efficient. Currently, we are working slightly behind schedule and our former programmer, due to unforeseeable circumstances, has had to step back from the job. We are looking for systems such as:
-
A functioning phone UI which will be central to gameplay - consisting of in-game messaging, emergency hotline for fire, ambulance and police, a banking app which will display finances and the ability to convert Robux for ingame currency, and an email app for global messages from the Dev team, for instance, along with other in-game messages. Our marketing/UI team whipped up a few quick concepts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5N-Lx0v8T4A ,
-
Jobs system which will include two branches - roleplay & group teams - roleplay jobs include being a pizza chef, fry cook, cashier, and whatnot (jobs available to everyone), whereas police, military, etc. will be teams reserved for specific group members.
-
Economy system that will enable the purchase of goods which will directly translate into the user’s banking application. For example, the purchasing of goods such as food, water, as well as vehicles, houses, bikes, skateboards etc.
-
Crime system consisting of illegal dealers which will sell melee weapons, bank, ATM and cashier robberies (which will alert all active police officers), and cargo shipment jobs which will require fragile cargo to be transported from point A to B for cash (but is illegal).
-
Arrest system, whereby a police officer can grab an offender but must take them to a prison cell in order to log the arrest to an official database viewable in-game through police and public computers. A drop down list would be ideal, with each offence having a preset amount of time spent in the cell. Fail safes would need to be in place to ensure that if a user leaves, they will be placed back in their cell automatically, etc.
This is a rough gist of the game. Obviously, we would discuss this more thoroughly with the correct candidate.
Here are some pictures of the progress of our upcoming game, Byron Bay:
We have the framework for most of the things we are seeking in our current game, Sydney. As such, we are hoping to find a programmer who is capable of interpreting the scripts, improving on them or replacing them at a very fast pace as the majority of the building for this game is complete.
Payment
We will pay in USD per objective completed. You will hand over the scripts and instructions for implementation before payment. We will be down with negotiations should this be a detracting factor.
Contact Us
You can contact us here on the Developer Forum, via Twitter at: https://twitter.com/AUS_ROBLOX or through my Discord - Sparky500000000#8828.
All applicants are subject to a vetting process with the rest of the Dev team, where we will consider your quality and ability to work in a team.
You must be 18 years or older to apply.
We’re only looking for the most experienced, hardworking scripters. We’re in a time crunch. We’d like to see it out by early August at the earliest and late August at the latest. If you can’t script that fast then you need not apply.
Thank you for your consideration!
