Hello!!
I made 2 sets of clothing for the imagination challenge.
For the first, i tried going with a vintage / indie style.
i used one of my real shirts and cropped it into roblox clothes.
For the second, I tried making an old Japanese countryside style.
I’m not sure if it turned out very ‘‘Japanese’’ but please tell me!
I used the clothing worn by characters in old Japanese movies to inspire me a little bit.
The pictures are in order so you can know which is first and which is second How did they turn out?
Thanks for reading, bye!
I know I am replying to this late but just to advise for constructive criticism and maybe enhance your designing skills further - I would highly suggest changing the transparency when drawing your clothing outline to maybe like 50 - 80% and even maybe work around with the smudge tool while shading.
At the moment from what I am looking at, the pockets seem like just two curves implemented onto the bottom so it doesn’t give a sense of realism. Maybe to like make it more realistic, probably shade the inner part of the pockets?
Adding on to the realism of the piece, if you were to make clothing in the future - I would highly suggest watching tutorials ( I mostly use Icyella’s tutorials on YT for clothing making and other business expansion ideas ). If you already do, then great!
Finally, make sure when drawing out clothing of the style you have, the components are there. A major component of clothing is deciding out the texture. As a personal opinion, your clothing seems like it could use a little bit of creases to make it look better than it already is. In addition, the v-neck collar could be a little shorter unless you wanted to make it like that.
Anyways hope this helps even though it is a late response!
