About Us

Hi there! We are Tophat Entertainment, an applicant team for the upcoming 7th Annual Bloxy Awards. We are currently closed for team member applicants.

The Team
Team is currently full, we will not be mentioning names of our team members. All will remain private unless the members themselves wish to be mentioned here.

About The Job

Looking for a builder, modeler, scripter, artist comfortable working on tight schedules throughout the week. Must be able to meet requirements under certain criteria, only stated via DMs from our team members.

The style we are trying to go for in terms of theatre design would be modern with balcony seats, 2 upper floors and a ground floor with more seats. Theatre equipment and camera units located by the second and third seating floors.

The theatre needs above 1k seats at least, more depending on the developer. Depending on more detail on the theatre, seat pricing may raise substantially.

Payment

Team will start handing down revenue to the team members if we get selected for the Bloxy Awards development team. Please do not apply unless you are fine working under the terms stated within this post.

Okay, so, this is not guaranteed that you will be selected as well as paid…
I mean, yeah - the feeling that you made this year’s Bloxy map, but still, not guaranteed.

I think you forgot to add name of your game…
And you forgot to put image in examples of your game’s style…
But, good luck with finding someone!

I want you to remember that the Bloxy Awards doesn’t exactly work this way. You are required to show examples of your Team’s past work and then put it in your application and then a member of the Roblox DevRel will be assigned as your boss to give you directions.

You need a successfull team to host the bloxys. I.e you must have created a game. I don’t think you should get ahead of yourselves yet.

No this is not the official team for the bloxy awards. At the end of the day, they can put all this effort and not get chosen.

No, they have to pass the application process and in order to pass, they must have created a successful game.

The games are measured by visits, right? How much would be the minimum visit to call it “Successful”?

I’m going, to be honest, here, your plan is flimsy at best. Roblox hasn’t even announced an opening for team applications (Most likely a few months before they do) so if you really want to recruit now it wouldn’t make very sense because the top-level developers you would want to try to join your team wouldn’t be looking at the moment.

Roblox is really looking AAA developers for this kind of thing, this really isn’t a yeah I’ll work on the side kind of deal this is a 9-5 kind of deal with Roblox having a manager come on and you get a paid contract with Roblox that you can cite on resumes.
