Collision Group Editor, switching Context View in Test Mode can break checkboxes

Info

Studio Version: Version 0.652.0.6520764 (64bit)

Description

There are several ways where one may experience the Collision Group Editor’s checkboxes no longer function properly. One case is when the Context View is switched, which makes you no longer able to interact with the checkboxes until Play Test is paused.

Re-production Steps

  • Ensure these settings are enabled.

  • I reproduced this issue with and without a lot of User Plugins, so it probably doesn’t seem to matter.

  • These steps aren’t guaranteed to re-produce the issue 100%. But I managed to re-produce it a tons of times following this method.

If these settings are off the Collision Group Editor will load but not work. At least Built-In Plugins needs to be turned ON for the Collision Group Editor to work.

However, there’s a case where it breaks.

  1. Open a Baseplate.
  2. Open the Collision Group Editor and put it next to the game window (this could be important)
  3. Click regular Play (F5 mode).
  4. Switch to Server Context View
  5. Switch back to Client Context View
  6. Immediately, switch back to Server Context View
  7. Attempt to interact with one of the checkboxes
  8. Observe, how the checkboxes may not work, but the rest of the UI e.g. switching Table to List still functions.

Expected Result

That the Collision Group Editor remains functional most of the times.

Actual Result

The Collision Group Editor can run into a case where the checkboxes don’t work anymore. In this specific case it’s during Play Testing in the Server Context View. A workaround is to re-switch context views in order to use the Collision Group Editor again.
