Previously, you could only specify the starting/ending colors for particles, but with this update, the entire range is available to you for customization.
Basic manual
The […] button on the Color property of particle emitters invokes the gradient editor (pictured).
Create a new keypoint by clicking somewhere inside the canvas.
Select a keypoint by clicking a small triangular handle below the canvas.
Drag the keypoint around with your mouse;
right-click while dragging aborts the drag; this also works with drag-create and drag-delete.
Edit the selected keypoint color by clicking the color button;
the color picker is modeless, you can leave it open and select a different keypoint to edit.
Delete the selected keypoint by clicking the Delete button or dragging it off the canvas.
As with number sequences, you can leave the dialog open and manipulate other parts of the workspace, or even edit several emitters at the same time.
API changes
The ColorSequence value constructor has also been unlocked to accept an array of keypoints.
The only thing loading from a.pomf.cat is GollyGreg’s video. Maybe it’s something about how Discourse loads things that cause it to load near the start of the page? Maybe Chrome pulls the video from somewhere since it knows it was on this page last time?
That’s just part of his <a&href=Particle Demo - Roblox>old particle demo, sadly. Though if you’d like to support the idea or share any thoughts, I’ve got an old thread about animated particles and more <a&href=ParticleEmitter Expansion & Tweaks>here.
