Concern About False Termination on New Account and Potential Impact on Main Account

Hello Roblox DevForum Members,

I hope you’re doing well. I’m reaching out because I recently created a new Roblox account, and unfortunately, it was terminated. I strongly believe that this termination was a mistake or a false termination, as I have made sure to follow all of Roblox’s Terms of Service and have not engaged in any activities that would warrant such action.

The new account I created is completely separate from my main account, and there are no links between the two except for the shared IP address. I also want to clarify that I’m not the only one using this IP address several family members also play Roblox under the same network. We all have our individual accounts, and each of us plays the game independently. This is one of the reasons I’m concerned that the shared IP address could cause confusion or even lead to the accounts being flagged mistakenly.

I’m aware that Roblox has been cracking down on enforcement recently, and I’ve seen other users facing similar terminations. My biggest concern is that the false termination on my new account could somehow affect my main account, especially with the shared IP. I’ve heard about instances where actions on one account have led to penalties or terminations for other accounts tied to the same network, and I really want to make sure this doesn’t happen to my main account or my family members’ accounts.

To provide more context, I’ve been very careful in how I’ve interacted with the platform. I haven’t used any third-party programs, exploited, or violated any of Roblox’s rules in any way. While I’m unsure of the exact reason for the termination of my new account, I’m confident that it was a mistake and that there’s nothing on my end that would have triggered it.

I’m also curious about the enforcement process. Specifically, how long does it typically take for an enforcement ban to take place? I want to understand if this is something that could have an immediate impact on my main account or if it typically takes some time for such actions to be processed.

What I’m most worried about is the potential impact this could have on my main account. Given the shared IP address and the fact that other family members also play Roblox, I’m concerned that the termination of the new account could trigger penalties or even a termination on my main account. I want to make sure that my main account, and my family’s accounts, remain unaffected by this situation.

Has anyone else experienced a false termination on a new account and been concerned about how it might affect their main or other family accounts? If so, how did you handle it, and did your main account face any penalties? Any guidance or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Additionally, if anyone has gone through the process of appealing a false termination, I’d love to hear about your experience and whether your appeal was successful. I’m eager to resolve this issue and ensure that my main account and my family’s accounts are in good standing.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I really appreciate any help or clarification you can provide. I just want to get this situation sorted out and continue enjoying Roblox without any further issues.

So, you’re basically just worried about your main account getting an enforcement termination because a new account of yours has been terminated recently?

I’d like to tell you that enforcement terminations happen at the same time your alt account has occurred at. So, if your new account was terminated on, for example, 3/7/2025 3:42:56 AM, your main account MUST be terminated sharp on 3/7/2025 3:42:56 AM.

So, your main account is safe, don’t worry. You would’ve been terminated already.

Regarding the other questions you’ve mentioned, all of them are answered in this guide.

If you have other questions let me know.

Thank you so much. I was just wondering because i created the alternate account a couple of days ago to hold old groups and make room on my main account. However, it was terminated the next day without any clear reason. At the time, I didn’t have an email or phone number linked to it, and the password was simple. I’m unsure if it was hacked or if there was another cause. I was just worried if this would somehow impact my main account, as I didn’t know how long it would take for an enforcement ban to kick in, and I didn’t want to wake up one day and see my main terminated because of it. I appreciate your help!

Getting your termination appealed really just depends what the reason was and the situation. Certain bans are easier to appeal than others and you got 30 days to appeal or 6 months for EU users

You should still appeal because i’m pretty sure enforcement bans can still effect you after days or months resulting in not being able to appeal because the reviewed date is too old. I wouldn’t get all the source from reddit and instead from many different sources so you can piece more info together because i noticed that they often doesn’t give clear or correct information

Without context it is hard to say if you can appeal or not

The problem with appealing is that I didn’t have an email or phone number linked to the account since I created it just few days ago. I’m pretty sure I can’t appeal an account with nothing linked to it except the same IP address. At the time, I didn’t think anything would happen to it, as I only created it to hold the old groups I own from over the years. So i can’t really prove i own the account since it was terminated before i could add anything onto it

I believe the only way to appeal if you have nothing linked is through their Appeals Portal which will probably in a few years completely replace support and doesn’t require a email or phone number linked.

However, i do not believe that this page can be used for enforcement punishments yet, i noticed that you can only appeal the following things (I probably forgot some):

  • Images
  • Bundles
  • Accessories
  • Assets
  • Avatars
  • Chat Logs

But i don’t think you can do general enforcement bans yet
