Hello everyone! Have you ever heard of the Trainz game? It’s a captivating train simulator. One of the features I find particularly intriguing is the seamless movement of trains along the tracks, which is achieved without relying on physics. This system is so elegantly designed that it’s practically flawless.
Now, I’m curious to hear your thoughts on how this movement system could be implemented in a Roblox game.
A locomotive has bogies (usually two of them), they also need to be taken into account when calculating.
Basically there is a way to move trains with CFrame, it is what Stepford County Railway and other games like it use, this is why trains dont lag when in motion.
Well, that’s understandable. I have a root part (on which the case will be mounted) and two bogies, as well as a rails folder where the rails are stored. So I am interested in how the movement of bogies and root part can be calculated in order to get the most realistic and smooth movement.
