Confusing VR Game bug?

I am currently making a vr framework for pure fun as i would like to make a vr game from using the framework. However, there is one thing that puts me off during development and i presume it is a physics issue, but im unaware on how this happens or how to fix it?

From the video below, you can see when i move my joystick it moves my character as it would normally. But, my physical character in game seems to launch off and sort of elastically bounces back to my actual position.

I used this tutorial to help me setup the basics for the vr framework such as the controller movement and head positioning.

If you look at the end of the video, he adds alignPosition and alignOrientation to have a smoother outcome for the controllers (im guessing?) however im not sure if that is the issue to why the problem is happening as i have changed every single property on both of the attachments and they all give the same outcome.
