Description
On Studio you can not enable Private Servers, if your game is set to Private. However, the Dashboard on the website allows it https://create.roblox.com/dashboard/creations/experiences
Reproduction Steps
- Create an Experience
- Access the creator dashboard and find your Experience, ensure “Private” is set under “Basic Settings”.
- Go to “Access”
- Scroll down and turn this option on
- Click on “Save Changes”
The Result
So as you see
If you open up Roblox Studio, then open up that game. If you go to “Game Settings” of that Place I’ve tested this on. You will see that the game is still set to private.

But if I click on “Public” it will turn into this.
This is because Private Servers is on, but you’re unable to set that setting through Roblox Studio, only the website.
The same thing goes for Paid Access.
But what does work is that you can’t have Private Servers and Paid Access.
Expected Result
I expected it to also work on Roblox Studio and not only the website. I thought that the game has to be set to “Public” only for these to work.
And that’s basically the question. Because if it there isn’t a rule saying that it has to be “Public” then it means that Roblox Studio just has to update it yet. But if there is a reason on why the game has to be “Public” as well, then this is an unimplemented feature to disallow enabling Private Servers when the game is set to Private, on the Website Dashboard.
The next thing is that you can’t set the “Access” to “Friends” and have Private Servers. Making it questionable if “Private” set games are allowed to have Private Servers.
