Consistent "Dropping received physics update, part 1_XXXXX is unknown" warnings and frozen physics in play testing

I have been having this problem for a little while now, since about a month ago (1/25 after new release), but it wasn’t exactly consistent then. Now, it has been consistent. Essentially, when I run play test in Roblox Studio, no physics except for my own character respond.

This problem occurs within any game or session with no specific obvious causes. Enabling more verbose logging reproduces messages such as “ignore or null root part or filtered or grounded, skipping framebuffers”.

Check your ‘Physics Environmental Throttle’ setting in Studio under Physics. Mine was set to ‘Always’ (i.e. the physics are disabled) instead of ‘Default Auto’, which caused this issue in particular. I cannot recall changing this setting myself though…
