Consistently losing drafts upon closing studio

Reproduction Steps

Go into a place with collaborative editing enabled, change a script, exit studio, re-open studio

Expected Behavior

I expect the draft to be saved like it has been in all past studio versions

Actual Behavior

The draft is consistently lost 100% of the time, causing me to have lost a ton of work.

I have tried re-instaling studio which was not successful

I can confirm that this is happening to me as well. Just yesterday I lost a lot of progress and thankfully I had a local save to help me.

Whenever I try to save the place to Roblox it raises HTTP 500 and fails, manual and autosave alike.

I think I also have a similar problem happening to me as well. Normally I save my work using the “Save to Roblox” option.
But from yesterday onward, I cannot either save nor publish my work returning the message “PLACENAME save failed”.

Hi all,

It seems that for @LuaBearyGood checking the permissions fixed the issue:
Roblox Studio has to have access to the proper files and folders in System Preferences / Security & Privacy / Files and Folders and Full Disk Access.

The Folders should be Downloads Folder, Documents Folder, Desktop Folder.

Alternatively Roblox Studio should be under the Full Disk Access.

The Drafts between Studio Sessions are saved under /Users/<user name>/Documents/Roblox/Sandbox/<place id>/<user id> – and you can check using the Last Modified date if the latest drafts show up there.

We’ll file a ticket for better permissions check for draft.

On the other hand if this is not fixing it for somebody, please let us know!
