I’m working on an AviRamp (Step free passenger boarding). I’m animating the final stage of the ramp to be height adjustable which all works fine however to aid with the detail it has hydraulic pistons (as seen in the picture).
The lower and upper end of the single and double shafts are connected via a single hinge constraint each to allow them to pivot freely as the ramp moves up and down. Then they’re each connected via a prismatic constraint to allow them to slide inside and out like you’d expect.
This does actually work, however both in studio and in-game it’s really buggy. A lot of the time the top of the shafts just stay put and don’t compress and rotate with the top ramp and require a anchor cycle sometimes for them to pop back into place.
I don’t have much experience with constraints so any advice on how to fix this would be great.
