If you ever have concerns regarding the Developer Forum, there are several ways to alert and contact the administration staff. The best way is to use the flagging system. If you see a message that you feel is inappropriate or otherwise questionable, you can flag it which will alert the admins automatically who can then follow up.
If you have a more general concern that would not be appropriate for a flag, you can email developerforum@roblox.com. We prefer this method over sending a PM to a specific admin. Please limit you emails to legitimate concerns; abuse will result in punitive measures.
So some information I found out about flags that I would have preferred to know earlier than I found out:
I imagine you all know how a post flagged three times for the same reason by different people will get auto-locked since that’s the first thing that pops up when you look for info about Discourse flags on Google. What is not mentioned, though, is what happens when a post is flagged (the automatic kind – not the “something else” flag) but doesn’t reach three flags. As soon as posts are flagged, even before reaching three flags, they go into the naughty pool which the forum staff can then read through.
In other words, the automatic flags are not useless if they don’t meet the threshold. I had always thought unless a post would get past the 3-flag threshold, it would be useless to use one of the auto-flags, and instead used the “something else” flag to direct moderator attention to the post. Knowing about the naughty post list now though, using “something else” to call moderators to a post is unnecessary and probably is annoying on their end, so use automatic flags when appropriate.
