First time actually putting in some effort into UI for our game, any thoughts/things i could do to make it better?

This is pretty good, however it looks like the title is slightly to the left, not use if its due to the font, but it looks slightly uncentred. Although this could just be my eyes

The only thing you should change is to make the background not have too many shadows or add more lightning, since it looks kinda dark and weird

You are right. The font makes it look like that even though it is at 0.5. I will probably just move it slightly since it makes it look better.

Colors play a big role in ui design, for example;
red = bad, green = good, blue = friendly.
So keep that in mind, from a far it looks like you lost a match in some game. Great effort though.
