Even broken, there’s still the gravity hammer.
And I think making it a gear would remove some of the fun/charm.

That seems like an over-complication. I feel like whoever gets it will be mature enough to be able to determine what kinds of games it is and isn’t okay to use at. Disaster Survival? Fun. Deathrun? No.
If you don’t trust them in your game you can always just kick the player if they join with it.

Or just remove the hat.
Why would you want to force a whole bunch of developers to add a script to remove a hat when preventative measures could just be done on this end instead?
I, for one, think that it being what it is makes it extremely desirable. If you try to confine it to the restrictions put on every other item then it will become every other item and lose a lot of value. Once again, I believe that whoever gets the hat will be responsible enough to not take it into games that would be ruined by it.
The hat in its ancient self still had a few working components. Id say about half of them were still in working condition, but definatly needed working on.
Not great in the art field, but hey, something to do, why not. I thought a nice little “noob” would be cool to use, it’s also default noob flavored.
I also present a new “top-of-the-market” design. It doesn’t fit yet, but one day it will. (aka I wanted to do one that wasn’t very serious c: )

They aren’t brilliant, but I spent ten minutes in Studio and five minutes in GIMP and here we go. If I win, yay! If I don’t, it was fun making them 
I didn’t want to stick with the traditional “noob” style, so I just made a pure white 2.0 body. With a hammer. Hammers are good.
