1) Press Copy Asset ID
2) Realize it’s not the ID you need
3) Attempt to copy the correct ID by hand
4) Realize you can’t select the text
5) Cry
6) Use devtools to steal the string from your browser
7) Report bug on DevForum
Expected Behavior
I expect copy asset id to copy the asset id that is shown to me.
Actual Behavior
It copies a different number.
Workaround
Using browser tools to get the id out of the span element.
Just ran into this tonight. Shame that you can’t use the new part of roblox.com. You aren’t even able to select the actual id without clicking the product icon.
I did some testing recently and it seems to copy the image or decal ID (not sure which one). Can you try the ID on an image or decal and not a place? Does it work when doing so?
I was at a Decal page already, the page on the main Roblox website that has library in the link, I was at my Creator Dashboard page for my developer product. I clicked “Copy Asset ID” and pasted it into the Decal ID on my other tab. It then took me to a random place in 2009.
