I would like to know if there is any other way to upload Music on Roblox or if there is other way around.
The content in question is the soundtrack from Hollow Knight, made by Christopher Larkin, which he makes all of his soundtracks non-copyrighted. There is also mention on the TeamCherry official page and I quote
Team Cherry hereby grants free license – to game owners and press – to use Hollow Knight in the creation and publishing (or streaming) of original media content, including reviews, gameplay videos and Let’s Plays. Team Cherry also grants free license to content creators to monetise these works, whether through advertising, stream donations, or otherwise.
So far so good, only problem is that the bass is now weirdly distorted when I speed up the audio and put PitchShift in it. It still sounds distorted even without it.
back in april 2023, i emailed support about NCS songs getting taken down and got a response mentioning this (emphasis mine):
Unfortunately exceptions cannot be made for audio assets that have been blocked by our filters that detect unlicensed music at this time. We understand this is frustrating and are actively working on a process for users to show proof of ownership/permission to get these audios restored. We appreciate your patience while we work to improve this system.
from what i can tell, nothing has come of this, and the issue still occurs with many public music libraries and copyright-free sources. it’s unfortunate that we have to use workarounds and bypasses for music that we have the full legal rights to.
This was the 2nd reply from the support when I tried sending all the proofs and had to actually mail Christopher Larkin. I feel like they just automatically copy paste that and hope for the bot to do its work
you have just bypassed audio.
