CoreGui "InExperienceInterventionApp" causes black pixel in the corner of the screen

Visual: (look below roblox icon)

While teleporting or loading into a place, holding a key appears to cause a frame with a 1 pixel wide border to appear. Specifically, in the “InExperienceInterventionApp” CoreGui.

Repro:

  • Start loading into any place
  • Hold a key while the place is loading
This repro works best in studio solo test and when teleporting between places

System: MacOS Sonoma 14.6

Still an issue as of March 2025

It’s incredible how this is still an issue, it’s as simple as setting this frame’s BackgroundTransparency to 1.

May an engineer spend 0.5% of their day to fix this? It’s been a year. And yes, it’s the same ScreenGui and frame described in the OP.

@drewbluewasabi we will investigate soon, given this thread has not been looked at in a while we would like to know if the issue is still reproducible/relevant by you?

Yes, I have observed this bug as of a few days ago. It’s still occurring but purely visual, though pretty annoying to some

Yeah, the pixel is still here. I made a plugin to fix this!

RemoveAnnoyingPixel.rbxmx (1.3 KB)

-- avocado (@avodey) -w-

local CoreGui = game:GetService("CoreGui")

local screen = CoreGui:WaitForChild("InExperienceInterventionApp", math.huge)
if not screen then return end

local provider = screen:WaitForChild("StyleProvider", math.huge)
if not provider then return end

local pixel = provider:WaitForChild("EventReceiver", math.huge)
if not pixel then return end

pixel.BackgroundTransparency = 1

Use the code as a local plugin and the pixel will disappear. :sparkles:
