Corescript Memory Leak?

Since we don’t have direct access to the corescripts I have no way of knowing what is going on. But I thought it would be a good idea to report this, as it appears not to be intentional. It appears that there is a recursive infinite reference to a function.

it can also be seen here that that script uses 23% of the memory on the client.

The corescripts seem to be quite scuffed sometimes. A few months ago I had a similar issue where a corescript was causing severe fps issues due to a memory leak, becoming unplayable past like 30 minutes.

Not sure if they’ll fix it but I wish you the best of luck. o7

I’m also getting massive increases leading to server crashes with this.

I see it on my end as well!

Same for me

I wonder if using Roact in CoreScripts has enough positives that outweigh these issues that popped up with TextChatService, the PlayerList, and even the pause menu.
I understand that code will never be perfect, but since we cannot change these core scripts, it does seem like a let down that they are affecting performance.
