Cosmic Café Recipe Guide

SONIC CAFE

Before becoming a Senior Crew Member at Sonic, all partners must master the different positions here at Sonic. The Sonic Cafe is a section of the restaurant that serves a wide array of cafe beverages - that you previously did not have access to up until now. On the day of your training to become a Senior Crew Member, you will be asked to prepare any of the drinks listed below (of course you will be taught before being tested) at the discretion of your Staff Coordinator. This is your chance to show us what you are made of, MAKE US PROUD!

PREP WORK & STOCKING

Espresso machines need to be refilled with ground coffee, this is done by grinding coffee beans in the grinder machine. And when it comes to Iced Green Tea Lattes you need fine matcha powder which is also obtained using a grinder machine. Your Staff Coordinator will go into depth and actually showcase what this looks like, but the steps are provided down below.

Using the Grinder Machine

Begin by grabbing a “Measuring Cup”.

  1. Add either matcha leaves or coffee beans into the measuring cup, depending on what you need.
  2. Deposit your matcha leaves or coffee beans to the appropriate grinder machine, they are labeled.
  3. Press start, and wait for it to fill the bottom part of the machine.
  4. Collect your finished product, fine matcha powder goes directly into a drink, but ground coffee goes into the espresso machine.

And that’s all there is to it, again your Staff Coordinator will go into much better detail about this process!
