Could this concept be considered "gambling" on Roblox?

The following concept may look similiar to Double Down

It involves with two players having a dispute with eachother about the result of something (e.g will KreekCraft win RB Battle 2025) and they both choose an item that the other player will buy if they loose. Whoever looses this dispute will have to buy the other player’s item (e.g shirt or gamepass)

However, I am very uncertain about the legality of such concept.

Sounds like it’s basically gambling on an outcome with money (Robux). I wouldn’t put it in a game on that basis.

Also, how are you going to ensure whoever will lose is going to pay up?

Double Down has (or had) a system you need to buy it otherwise you wont be able to play another minigame

I mean, you don’t even pay anything upfront, but you assume a risk, more like doing a “contract” with another player.

Maybe I can just follow their “ticket” system. If so, every player starts with 1 ticket. If they enter a dispute they use that ticket, and when the dispute is resolved, the player who lost has 0 tickets and will need to buy 1 more to enter a dispute, and they’ll buy the ticket from the item the winning player chose to be bought.

This is undeniably gambling. Not only that, but most players will see you need to pay to play any of the minigames they’ll leave immediately.

If you have to ask, don’t do it

It’s really the uncertainty, some games get taken down while others not.

What If instead, I take an approach like StockCrash and the currency can’t be bought by robux, but you can buy a stock of ‘yes’ or ‘no’ for a result of something. Think of it as a “Polymarket”
