Could you give some feedback on my game?

Hi! I released this game a couple of months ago. It has had some good organic growth. However, as of recently, it’s kind of died off. I also changed the icon recently, hoping that would make a difference. I’m just wondering, do you think this game is worth advertising? Or would the low organic growth mean no? Any other feedback on the game is also greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Ok, hear me out
This game is like most of the tycoon game i played so far. No unique stuff. And starts off the same on every tycoon with a click to drop. I currently actually see no unique gameplay on the game.I also noticed your UI design. Which you should kinda improved it

However, I really do like your Dropper Models, Your guns, and the ambient in the game. Really give me a feeling of being outside the space

To be honest in my opinion, if you really want to keep your game going. You should really improve both your scripts and your map. Still not the best map but is better than a beginner developers. Give the game a little more care and love to it. And your game might be back! Looking forward to your work!

Thanks for your balanced feedback! I really appreciate you taking the time.
I see your point with the lack of unique things. I’d hoped cargo transport and bases to capture would differentiate it a bit, but not quite enough ig. I’m glad the ambience is at least ok. I will try improve the map. With regards to improving script, just like in line with expanding the map or is there something specific that wasn’t working?

I’ll be honest with you, tycoons today, if they don’t have an original idea, they are not successful, it is very difficult for them to be successful. I’ll tell you what I think at the beginning, I’ll leave you my feedback below:

  1. The music is very loud and annoying, you should either lower the volume, or add a button to mute it.

  2. The shadows of the structures are very annoying and can make it difficult for some players to see the game.

  1. You should NOT print messages to the console from the client, you can leak important information or anything that is private to the game, it is better to avoid giving unnecessary messages to the console unless they are information about a bug that is reportable to the developer or that can be useful.

  1. The GUI is very improvable, it is not centered, it is below the chat and it is not centered.

  1. The GUI needs to look more attractive and have more information, a text is worth more than an icon or image.

  2. The gameplay is very repetitive, you should add more interaction between your game and the user and give them reasons to play your game.

  3. In the cash store, the green buttons should be clickable, not the texts, in user experience the first thing the user will try to do will be to click on the thing that attracts the most attention (in this case the green button).

  1. The user does not know what he bought: at the beginning I bought the automine and I thought it did not work, but I had to see it from the front to know that it did. It would be great to have a notification that warns about the purchase of something.

My opinion:

Your game is very good, but there are many things to polish in terms of gameplay and UX, I wish you the best and I hope this feedback you take it well and not as criticism, I want to help you to improve your game and attract more users, keep it up

Thank you very much for your feedback iJax! I really appreciate your detailed contribution. A lot of your points are actually easy enough fixes that I can finish quickly, thank you for pointing these out. I had never actually thought of points 6 and 7. I will definitely try work on those. As for GUI, I’m not great at making good ones, so I gotta figure something out there. But I will definitely try add in more things to keep the player engaged. Good to know where I’m going wrong, thanks!
