Crash when minimising or expanding studio window

This has happened multiple times today since that last studio update.
Can’t say much asides from I’m minimising and maximising the studio window to change the UI scaling and studio is crashing A LOT when doing this.

And yes, that’s the same studio window on that one screen, it seems to like crash mid-expansion so you can see double of it.

Windows 10.

It’s also happening with the expansion of the top bar frame. This is actually very bad haha. :stuck_out_tongue:

Also happening with drag resizing things like the output, it seems to be anything related to resizing the studio viewport is crashing studio 100% of the time.

Does this happen to you with an empty baseplate as well? If not, can you send me the place file?

No, it does not.
Maybe it’s something related to scaling GUIs?

If you remove all of your guis, does the issue still happen?

It actually does :fearful:

Hmm… In that case, can you send me a copy of the place and I’ll take a look.

Would the log files that are being uploaded be of any use? My studio is uploading a bunch after every crash.

The logs might contain some information if this is a graphics issue, so please include those as well as the place file.

I spent that last day trying everything on my end to fix the crashes.

I can only reproduce the issue on this specific place file and only on my work computer. It doesn’t happen on my laptop or another device.

It has a 100% occurrence on my work machine and 0% occurrence on my other machines.

In that case, what are the specs of the machine that’s having problems?

I don’t have a machine with those specs around here. I’ll try to request one, but in the mean time, can you send me the logs from your machine from any session that crashes in that manner?

Where would I find the logs on my machine? I know studio is automatically uploading logs to ROBLOX after every crash, but I’m not sure if they’re stored on my machine too.

C:\Users\ [USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Roblox\logs

Logs with the same 5 character code after log_ are from the same session.

I can’t seem to upload any of the file types onto this forum

Aren’t they all .txt files? They should be uploadable.

TXT and DMP files, both aren’t allow to be uploaded here funny enough

@JParty Could we potentially have this changed? I’ve also had to link similar files to engineers in the past through dropbox or google drive because the attachments’ file type wasn’t allowed on the forum. Zip files would also be nice, as it allows me to combine files into a single download, but I’m not sure if that defeats the purpose of allowed file types or not since any file type can be compressed into a zip.
